    1. Product Description

Men have always valiantly struggled to elicit the female orgasm but rarely will a man ask: "What do I do?" Now, the answer can be right on the tip of his tantalising tongue.

She Comes First is an encyclopaedia of female pleasure, with dozens of techniques for satisfying your female partner and illustrated step-by-step instructions that will ensure orgasmic success.

In his much-lauded sex manual, clinical sexologist Ian Kerner gives a thorough background into female pleasure and offers advice on the tried-and-tested oral sex techniques that make climax a cinch.

Demystifying the stages of female sexual arousal, this book explains the physical signs of pre-orgasm and climax and breaks down the cunnilingus process into steps. The result? A simple guide to getting her off, whatever your skill level.

"Readable and friendly, and resolutely women-centric... Perhaps it's time we paid more than lip service to the idea of true sexual liberation, and perhaps She Comes First is just the soft of talking point we need to get us started." 'The Guardian'

"An entire book written strictly for the pleasure of women by a man. Hallelujah!" 'Playgirl'

"As we all know, or should know, sex is about sharing - emotionally and physically. However, there's a group of people who fail to understand this important balance. They're called 'Men'... Although blokes are fully aware that oral is a standard requirement for any modern relationship, most haven't cottoned on to the fact that it should take longer to perform than polishing off a Mr Whippy." 'Cosmopolitan'

    1. A very useful learning tool

Reviewed: 14 January 2017 by DeusRapture, a Bisexual Single Male

This book is so good. It is highly informational and even has routines for beginners and intermediates to try.

If you have a partner who you would like to learn a little more before heading 'down there' I'd highly recommend this book. This book promotes a healthy way of looking at performing cunnilingus and has a wealth of knowledge to help both beginners who are nervous about doing it for the first time, and intermediates who wish to learn a little more to please the women in your life.

Very useful to learn more and the routines are great too.
It can be a little long, but it's worth the reading time.
      Bottom line
A little long but it's worth reading, valuable information.

    1. So Happy We Found This Guide

Reviewed: 08 April 2016 by liebenstieben

I got this book for my boyfriend last year so that we could both become a little more informed on all things oral sex.

The book is really well written, easy to read, and not at all vulgar. I also really like the cover, which leaves something to the imagination. It's broken down into two parts: the first focuses on understanding the female anatomy and the second focuses on technique. I have to say I learned a lot. The author organizes all the information in a very clear way, so it's super easy to refer back once you've read the book.

At the end of the book, the author builds all of his advice into a single, full routine. I will say, that while it's probably great, the routine is very long and therefore it would probably be very difficult to memorize, so I never expected my boyfriend to give me a full delivery of it. However, the general advice given is so good, that I definitely noticed an improvement in the sex after we read it.

The writing style, the book cover, the advice, information on anatomy.
      Bottom line
There's no need to be afraid of oral sex with this book on your shelf.

    1. Reading this should be mandatory

Reviewed: 24 November 2011 by RedCheeks, a Bisexual Single Female

I first got this book around two and a half years ago. Having had pleasant experiences with someone who had taken the time to educate themself on the subject matter and seeing just how effective a little knowledge could be, I decided to look into picking up a similar book. Knowing that men can be easily offended I figured it was worth having a good book on the subject on hand so I could casually loan it out if necessary.

After a little searching for books on the subject “She Comes First” came the most highly recommended and for good reason. After waiting patiently for the book to arrive I was glad when it finally came. The book itself has a wonderful cover. It very elegantly represents the subject matter without being vulgar or pornographic.

It is written by a man called Ian Kerner, who explains that after years of suffering with feelings of sexual inadequacy caused by premature ejaculation he set about finding other more fulfilling ways to please a woman. It is clear to me that his search was not in vain.

He clearly knows the subject matter inside and out, literally! He explains in simple but extremely accurate terms the complete stages and sexual responses that lead a woman to orgasm.

Additionally he talks a bit about the history of female sexuality. He tells the reader about the origin of some of the confusion and myths surrounding female anatomy and orgasms. After giving it to my current partner to read both he and I agree that his technique improved greatly.

My one and only issue with the book really is that the author gears the entire thing towards orgasm, and says a number of times that you shouldn’t start a session of cunnilingus without making her cum. While we all love orgasms, sometimes I just want a nice bit of play without the pressure of orgasm hanging over the whole situation.

Other than this smallest of problems I think it is overall very well written and a great source of information for anyone who wants to know just how to please a woman.

Well written, informative, clearly laid out techniques.
Maybe a little too orgasm focused at times.
      Bottom line
Even the most advanced cunnilinguist will find they still learn a trick or two.

My boyfriend bought this book shortly after we started going out. This was now 5 years ago and we are still making use of it.

Neither of us were particular experienced five years ago but I could feel an instant difference in my boyfriend's performance after he'd read just the introduction of the book.

It gives step by step guidance on how to pleasure a woman, including clear instructions and some diagrams. But more than just tips and pointers, it is an insightful book that describes a healthy a loving attitude to the female orgasm.

I would highly recommend this a mandatory reading for any man or woman looking to learn more about pleasuring a woman.

    1. Wondrous Journey from Ignorance to the Holy Grail

Reviewed: 01 December 2011 by SelectZen, a Bisexual Married Male

I have to start this review by saying when my partner first introduced me to this book I was convinced (in all my stupidity) that it was good that the book existed for OTHER people, but that I knew what I was doing. The sad part is I know there are many millions more men like I was, who might think they know what they’re doing and just how to please a woman but sadly so many of us live in ignorance. All I can say is I am very thankful that she opened my eyes, this book explains in the greatest of detail what is a mystery to so many men, the female orgasm.

The book is authored by Ian Kerner Ph D. He explains how he came to write the book, having suffered with premature ejaculation for most of his life, he set about finding other ways of pleasing women. It is refreshing as this book is entirely focused on female pleasure through cunnilingus and not about intercourse.

In this book the author breaks everything down to its most basic level. He talks about the stigma surrounding cunnilingus. He goes on to dispel many misconceptions about the female orgasm, the g-spot and just where exactly the clitoris is located and how it works. His writing style is enjoyable and he draws on many surveys as well as other professionals in the field of sex and sexual well being to illustrate and underline is point.

The book is broken down into three sections which are sub divided into a total of forty eight chapters.

*In the first section he talks about the theory side of things as well as the public attitude to the female orgasm while also addressing some of the wider gender issues. He talks about the origins of the confusion surrounding the female anatomy. He goes on to break down all the elements of the female genitalia with clear diagrams and talks about their functions as well as how they interconnect. Rather than just focusing on the clitoris he encourages the reader to make full use of every single part of the anatomy possible to stimulate the woman and maximize her pleasure.

*In the second section he talks all about the physical side of cunnilingus, everything from the first kiss right to the moment of climax and even beyond that. Every part of a great session is broken down into chapters which are short but very comprehensive. He covers the various stages of female arousal from arousal to stimulation, pre-orgasm and climax (as well as everything in between), the physical changes that occur during these stages, the signs to look for as one performing the act. The advice in this section is invaluable. He breaks the entire process down and makes it easy to understand.

*The third and final section, which is a little shorter, he talks about bringing the emotional and physical side of things together and also explains various routines that one can engage in. It is a summary, a refresher on the entire book, touching on all the important points covered previously.

It is an extremely well written book which draws on the authors’ personal experience as well as a host of other sources. I can’t imagine there is a more comprehensive book out there on the subject. The author covers every point you can imagine from attitudes to scent, from caressing to anal play, kisses to climax. Simply put a superb book and I highly recommend it to anyone who seriously wishes to truly please a woman.

      Overly preachy at times.
