    1. Great for intro into bondage

Reviewed: 10 October 2018 by CleverGirl, a Straight Going Steady Female

This is the second restraint items we have bought, the first being under the mattress straps, and they are fantastic!

I found being completely unable to move in straps quite intimidating, but these were perfect, giving me the feeling of being restrained while having a little more freedom than bound spread eagle.

The rope is very soft, didn't leave any marks at all, which is a huge plus. While in use I was completely unable to get out of them, and my BF was easily able to use them to guide me about. The more I struggled the tighter they got which adds to the sensation of being bound. I did like the fact that I could get out of them if I wanted to when we had finished playing, not having to worry about being released or finding a key!

The book that came with them gives some very helpful suggestions we are eager to try as well.

Highly recommend for anyone wanting some lighter bondage, or starting out like we are.

    1. Restraint doesn't get any easier than this

Reviewed: 19 September 2017 by Greenwine, a Straight Married Male

The one-liner: this is a brilliant product.

And if you want a bit more detail: the Lovehoney packaging is a model of restraint (no pun intended), the usual plain brown box. On the other hand the packaging of the item itself is brightly coloured and a bit gaudy, leaving no doubt as to the intended purpose; in short, open in private.

We got the black, as the purple was out of stock. In fairness to Lovehoney, we could have planned further in advance. I do think it would be good if these cuffs came in a wider range of colours.

The rope is soft and the locking bars, for want of a better word, slide easily without catching. The length is good, generous without being over-long; long enough to cuff wrists behind your back without straining wrists, elbows or shoulders, and the design means that while they won't slip off, they are tight enough to stay on as intended, so these are very comfortable to wear, and they don't leave marks.

They can also adjust to fit ankles, so the possibilities are, well, I don't know if they're endless but we're having fun finding out! Wrist to wrist, ankle to ankle, ankle to wrist, ankle or wrist to furniture, partner to partner (!), and with a bit of creative rope-twisting you can even go wrist to wrist with the rope holding a Doc Johnson so you can use it hands-free. Hopefully you get the picture!

So far, so user-friendly. But do they do the job they're designed to do? Boy, do they! Slip 'em on, slide the adjusters, and these babies ain't coming off until you want them to. They'll restrain your hands behind your back, above your head, to the furniture, behind your thighs (an absolute must-try by the way, looks a-maz-ing; sit on the floor or on a chair, draw your thighs up, reach down either side of your thighs and allow your partner to slip these on behind your thigh, OMG. Girls, you will just flood. Boys, you will reach a new straining point. How can a simple piece of rope do this? I don't know, but then introduce a full-length mirror into the equation and you will be transported to a whole new place.

So, do we like these? Oh yes. Are they perfect? No, but improvements are easy to make. For example, the sliders are not exactly precision-moulded, there is some plastic flashing around the outside, but a minimum of work with a sharp knife and the job is done.

What else could be improved? A wider range of colours, pink and red would be good but so would green, or white; and for a bit of luxury, metal sliders although that might double the price.

To be honest, I'm struggling to find anything else. These deliver huge bang for your buck, they work for both sexes, they are non-threatening but 100% effective, quick and easy to use, they're an enormous turn-on and should always be kept close at hand because you'll get more use out of them than you could possibly imagine. A stellar purchase and if you've ever considered introducing a bit of restraint, I can't imagine a better way to start. And they just keep on giving.

    2. Overall Rating:
      10 out of 10 stars
      Pros
      A guaranteed turn-on for both.
      Cons
      Limited range of colours.
      Bottom line
      Ridiculously good.

    1. Simple but effecive restraints

Reviewed: 28 October 2015 by JJLWB, a Straight Married Female

My husband picked up a set of these wrist restraints years ago before we discovered the joys of Lovehoney. I had always loved the idea of being tied up and helpless and these seemed like a great starting point to try this fantasy out.

The overall appearance of them is good. We have them in the purple colour which is lovely and the rope is very high quality. The only downside is that the plastic fastenings look a little cheap and tacky, but they do the job, which is the main thing.

When we came to use them for the first time we found just how simple they are to put on. Once your wrists are slipped in, it's so easy to tighten the fastenings and you're away! They're also great to slide in between the slats of a headboard before tying in your wrists to give that extra sense of restraint!

The best thing about these cuffs is how comfortable they are to wear. I was a little wary that the rope would cut into my skin, but they're silky smooth and don't have any rough areas that can dig in and burn.

I have also discovered that they are easy to put on yourself which is perfect when wanting to surprise the husband. He loves nothing more than when I strip naked and tie myself up in these all ready for when he comes home from work!

These are lovely, comfortable restraints which are especially good for beginners who want to start off slowly when it comes to bondage. These have come out many times over the years and continue to be a favourite in my restraint collection.
