    1. Strapless Strap On Makes a Great Handheld Dildo

Reviewed: 21 February 2013 by silverdrop, a Straight Married Female

      Pros:

100% silicone for safety and quality

Vaginal insert can substitute as a handle for easy use as a standard handheld dildo

Free silicone blindfold is a unique item that I haven't seen carried by anyone else

      Free toy cleaner and lube

      Cons:

No neck to grip on for strapless use

Non-flexible angle makes it difficult to use as a strap-on

Free silicone blindfold is a rather snug fit and doesn't block light

      Notes:

It's bright pink and non-realistic in texture, no veins, glans, etc - this makes it a con for us, as we prefer realistic dildos, may be a pro for others

      Details:

A strapless strap-on dildo is meant to be held in place by the wearer's vaginal muscles so that they can thrust into their male or female partner with the dildo portion. I am sad to say that as a strapless strap-on this product makes a very good rowing boat.

This isn't the first such product that we've tried. We've used the Tantus Realdoe Slim with mixed success - the main difficulty being my large belly making less of the dildo's length available for thrusting. But the Realdoe itself doesn't have any faults. That is not the case with the Fetish Fantasy version.

The first problem I had was the shape of the insert. When I put it inside me, I had nothing to grip onto. Instead of a bulb shape, it is somewhat cylindrical, that is actually wider at the bottom than the top. This made it impossible to keep in without help of a harness. I don't think even the most dedicated Kegel trainer could manage to hold it in place for more than a few minutes, unless it was a very controlled position. Perhaps if the wearer was lying on their back, legs together.

The second problem was the angle being quite fixed and non-flexible. When I tried to use it with the RodeoH harness, it didn't work at all. The O-ring on the RodeoH was not in the same place that the Fetish Fantasy dildo wanted to emerge, and try as I might, I could not get the two to work together. I finally got out my Aslan Cherry Jaguar harness, which holds the O-ring much lower on the pubic mound, and was able to get the Fetish Fantasy dildo held in place.

The fixed angle still gave us difficulty, however, as we were unable to find a position to get the angle of the dildo to work with our bodies. The Realdoe has a very flexible neck, and so we can move the dildo portion a bit to get it to work. The Fetish Fantasy required us to move our bodies around to accommodate the angle of the dildo. While we did finally achieve a pegging position that worked, it was so fiddly that the dildo fell out easily, requiring more effort to re-orient ourselves. We finally gave up on pegging for the evening due to the frustration.

However, the stiff angle has one advantage over the Realdoe, and that is that it makes an excellent handle to use as a hand-held dildo. My husband and I are both disabled - he with arthritis and me with fibromyalgia, and thrusting a standard dildo by hand can be physically demanding on the hands and shoulders. The insert portion of this dildo works well as a handle, and makes it far easier to use as a hand-held dildo than any other dildo in our collection.

This serendipitous use prevents this being a fail toy. If it were being marketed as a toy with a handle, it would likely earn 4 or 5. But since it's being marketed as a strapless strap-on, it ought to work in that function. And it doesn't.

      Summary:

We simply can't recommend this toy as a strapless strap-on, unless you have Kegels of steel and a slim figure to help get the angle right. The Tantus Feeldoe/Realdoe line are much better for this purpose, since the vaginal insert is bulb shaped with a neck rather than simply cylindrical. However, if you want to use a strapless strap-on as a disability accessible dildo for ease of use, this is a great toy to try.

    2. Overall Rating
      5 out of 10 stars
      Pros
Can be used as a dildo with a handle for easier hand-thrusting.
      Cons
Shape of insert makes it very difficult to hold in place.
      Bottom line
      A failure as a strapless strap-on, but makes a great hand-held dildo.
