    1. Socks blown off

Reviewed: 14 February 2018 by Mrs Meyer, a Straight Going Steady Female

So my new BFF was delivered at about 2:15 and fully charged by 4:15. I decided whilst the house was quiet to give it a go. I actually don’t know what to say. Seriously lost for polite and coherent speech.

I know different things work for different people and to be honest, it has felt that nothing much has been working for me recently, so I was extremely nervous about spending the money on something that seems to be either a hit or a miss. I also like something a bit more solid that I can press against rather than something small, light and fiddly. So I was wondering how I would go on just holding this light delicate looking thing in position. For some reason, I thought it would be squishy but it’s not. And to be frank I’ve already spent a small fortune recently. But due to general feelings of desperation and also due to a reduced price and a fabulous loyalty discount I decided to take the plunge. From other reviews, I anticipated having to 'practice' with it quite a lot before either getting results or realising that yet another toy wasn’t really working for me.

You do have to find the right spot, which for me was surprisingly easy. I put it on the default setting. It slipped a little a couple of times but was easy enough to put right. At around 4:20 I just lost control. I'm in my mid 40’s and I had no idea I was a squirter, but once I could stand up I had to change the bed. I left it running for a little while and just tested out the higher strengths and patterns, I think they might all be a bit much for me. I like strong on my clit but think they might be too much for me.

As always excellent service from Loveoney, plain brown box, love the slightly silky feel packing paper they always use. The packaging from Lelo is excellent. Just smacks of a luxury product. And I know looks don’t matter to everyone but for me, it’s part of the experience. Box sealed by the manufacturer. Very nice small drawstring bag. Charger ridiculously short. Beautiful product design, fabulous colour. I like where the controls are. It feels good to hold. It’s not delicate and it’s not weightless. Noise, it’s not like a loud vibrator noise but when you hit the right spot you can hear it as well as feel it.

Love you Lelo Sona Cruise, and love you Lovehoney.

    1. Super Sona

Reviewed: 22 October 2017 by NatandTom, a Straight Going Steady Female

When I discovered that the Lelo Sona Cruise was on its way for review I was rather excited. I have been really enjoying clitoral suction style toys as of late and I expected this one to be similar to the existing Womanizer and Satisfyer creations. Whilst it still has the medical apparatus/thermometer look to it, it's technology is completely different to the other two brands I mentioned. Therefore I must applaud Lelo for looking at this popular concept and finding a way to put their own unique stamp on it.

It arrived in a sturdy black box with the product name and a clear viewing window on the front. The back gives a brief description about the features and explains the concept of Cruise Control technology, which is the difference between this version and the regular Sona. Inside the box I found the Sona Cruise, satin storage pouch, charging cable, warranty card information and a sachet of personal lubricant. It doesn't come with a user manual as these are now downloaded from their website instead.

Made from Lelo's signature soft silicone, the Sona Cruise looks and feels luxurious. I do think it is cheapened slightly by the metallic plastic plate that has been added to the back but overall, the aesthetics are pleasant. The combination of these hypoallergenic materials makes this product a breeze to clean.

It is fully waterproof, so can be rinsed to remove any traces of cat hair, lint, lube or other fluids. I clear out the nozzle with a cotton bud and rinse the rest with soapy water. I then pat it dry with a cloth and leave the nozzle to air dry before putting away or using it again.

Before I could give it a test run, a full charge was needed. To do so, plug the jack into the base of the massager and the USB connector into a suitable charging station. The lights on the control panel should then begin flashing. When the lights flow steadily, the charge is complete. It takes around two hours, which isn't bad, and this gives a good amount of use time. If the battery does begin to run low the device will let you know via a blinking white light.

It has a well-positioned, simple to understand control panel that consists of three buttons. The plus button will turn on the massager, the central button cycles through the eight functions and the minus button will turn everything off when pressed and held for a couple of seconds. You can change the intensity of any function by pressing the + or - buttons as needed. To activate the travel lock press the + and - buttons down together for five seconds. Repeat or place on charge to unlock.

The basic premise behind the Satisfyer and Womanizer models is used on the Sona massagers too. You need to part your labia slightly and place the nozzle over your clitoris. Find an accurate and comfortable position then let the device take care of the rest. It doesn't need to be moved once you have found the right spot as the stimulation is designed to reach the entire clitoris. Not just the surface but the nerve endings underneath that aren't visible.

So how is it different? Well, it doesn't use suction or vibration. It uses sonic waves. If you don't know what that means then I'll briefly explain. Sonic waves are continuous up and down motions that essentially provide a thumping sensation when placed against the body. This quick hammering sensation is able to offer multiple points of impact to stimulate the entire clitoris. The thudding manages to resonate deep below the surface and attack parts of my clitoris I didn't even know existed with its impact.

It does not work as quickly as the Satisfyer Pro 2 or Womanizer 2 Go because it is designed to give you time to build up to your orgasm. The other brands devices are quite orgasm focused and they seem to tear orgasms from me within a matter of minutes.

They also leave me feeling sensitive afterwards because the stimulation is so intense, which means I need a break before a second round. The Sona Cruise, however, allows that pressure to build and release multiple times before I reach the point of needing to stop. If you're a fan of multiple orgasms, this could be the clitoral stimulator for you.

It has eight different modes to choose from. I stick to the constant mode as this is typical masturbatory behavior for me. I find patterns and pulsations distracting and irritating, so I don't use them. If you are keen to try patterns, this has seven. A stop and start pulsation mode, a faster stop and start pulsation, a zig zag pulsation, up and down pulsation, scrolling up in intensity, scrolling down in intensity, and finally, an unusual variation of pulsation and waves.

Before I conclude I need to mention the Cruise Control technology I touched on earlier. Not only does this separate the Sona Cruise from the Sona, it also differentiates it from most other clitoral toys on the market. Cruise Control is an automatic feature that detects any slowing of the motor and boosts it back up via pulse wave modulation.

By doing so, it ensures that you have consistent strength and intensity whilst pressing the toy firmly against your body. If you use a lot of pressure like I do, this model would be the best choice. It actively fights against the motor dropping, allowing you maintain the level of intensity needed for you to climax.

Overall, I can't rate the Sona Cruise highly enough. It's unique, innovative and delivered on almost everything it promised to do. The only thing it didn't live up to was its "whisper quiet" labelling. I wasn't expecting it to though. I've not yet experienced a clitoral stimulator like this one that has been quiet. I'm not even sure if it's possible due to the mechanics that are involved. You would definitely need some background noise to disguise the sound if noise is an issue for you. Other than that, this is a wonderful product and I'd be happy to recommend it!

Everything. Love the way it hits all the spots.
Noise could be an issue for some.
      Bottom line
I wasn't expecting the unique sensation I got, but I loved it.

    1. Blew my mind

Reviewed: 09 February 2018 by Purring-Pussy, a Bisexual Going Steady Female

I've never really been much of a fan of Lelo products. I've found them very underwhelming, especially as luxury toys. However, the Lelo Sona Cruise has certainly won me round.

When I first purchased the Lelo Sona Cruise I was thrilled to see it nicely packaged, including a satin storage bag and a sample sachet of Lelo personal moisturiser that is glycerine and paraban free.

Taking the Lelo Sona Cruise out of the box, I was in awe of the luxurious quality. Super smooth silicone and a gold curve that fits superbly into the palm of my hand. Three buttons to operate: + to turn on and increase speed, - button to decrease the speed, and a middle button to change the patterns.

Charging is easy with the USB cable. Just pop in the charger and the buttons will flash until it is fully charged, with a steady light to indicate it is charged.

Now during use it took me weeks to get used to it. I've been using a range of Satisfyer toys on a daily basis for the last 18 months so I'm pretty used to the technology of suction type sex toys. It just took a while to get used to the Lelo Sona Cruise.

I found that the Lelo Sona Cruise took some adjusting to my body. I'm a plus-size lady with quite a large mons pubis which leads to overly large labia majora surrounding my labia minora and clitoris. I have quite a small clit, so it took some time trying to position the Lelo Sona Cruise and nestle it into the right place. This then lead to issues with the buttons. They are totally in the wrong place. At first I had to remove the toy and then use the buttons, which was a total passion killer.

I didn't give up. I found that I eventually what buttons to press without removing it from my clit.

The sonic pulses are unique and provide a good suction. I find the sensations to be like a light tapping with air on a slow speed, especially when lightly hovered over my clit. If I hold the Lelo Sona Cruise down quite hard with full suction over my clitoris more of a deep vibration. For me personally I find it best to hover if I place it fully over my clit the sensation is far too overwhelming, and oddly it begins to hurt my clit with a burning sensation. This is not the toy at fault, just my body doesn't like it. I get the same effect with the Satisfyer Pro 2.

After I got used to the patterns I like (other suction type toys haven't got a pattern settings, they tend to be just a steady speed that you can increase the power, and I like the option of patterns on my toys) and worked out that I prefer less contact, I've finally achieved orgasms, and honestly they are mind-blowing. The sonic stimulation rumbles deep into my clitoris glans, my labia and surrounding erogenous zones. As someone who prefers a broad stimulation, the Lelo Sona Cruise provides great orgasms that leave me totally spent.

The Lelo Sona Cruise is quiet, unlike most of the Satisfyer toys it's easy to charge and clean. The buttons are totally in the wrong place, but I have got used to them. Another downside, the power always starts at a mid range. I prefer to start on a low setting and work my way up. Bit of a pain getting to the low speed each time you change patterns.

Other than this I'm pretty impressed with the Lelo Sona Cruise. My orgasms are certainly unique powerful and utterly breathtaking. No other sex toy has had me writhing around on the bed being quite vocal and lost in the moment. It's a good job I now live alone!

For weeks I was considering returning the Lelo Sona Cruise. I'm so glad I persevered with it.

Lelo are back in the game!
