    1. An amazing concept - but that's it

Reviewed: 25 March 2014 by DavidB1986, a Gay Married Male

I was so excited when I read the product description for this product. I consider myself something of a connoisseur when it comes to masturbators - and this ticked all of my boxes. It looks interesting, it vibrates, it's rechargeable AND it rotates! I've not had a vibrating masturbator that does that. The price put me off a little though... but after a little bit of soul searching, I bit the bullet and placed the order.

I eagerly awaited the delivery, and it arrived by lunchtime the next day. When I took it out of its box, I was surprised at the size and the weight of the toy. It's the biggest and heaviest masturbator I have ever tried, and that's where the attached suction cup would come in handy.

At this point, I need to note that the product description does not mention that this does not have a UK plug. Luckily, the product charged in the shaver socket I have in the bathroom, and Lovehoney were kind enough to send out an adaptor (which will go out with this on future purchases). It only takes 2 hours to charge, which is fantastic.

Once it's charged, I played around the settings. Inside the unit, there is an opening, which leads to the rotating chamber, which has lots of little 'fingers' which sit around the circumference of the chamber. When you switch the unit on for the first time, this starts to spin around. The + button changes the speed (so up or down) and the middle button is used to switch through the various settings, which range from clockwise, to counter-clockwise, to varying styles of back and forth. It's extremely powerful - and at it's highest speed, it sounds like a coffee grinder! So I was a little concerned about putting my sensitive chap in there... but for the sake of science - I did!

After applying lube to the chamber, and to my self, I first of all wanted to test it just by holding it like I would a regular masturbator. So I slide in and turned it on. The chamber started to spin, and the little fingers inside began to tease and tickle my member. The initial sensation was quite pleasant. I moved the speed up and down, and the sensations were enhanced and softened accordingly. So everything was find during the first 2 settings (clockwise, counter-clockwise) - so I moved on to one of the more varied patterns.. and this is where it went horrendously wrong.

With the sudden change in clockwise to counter-clockwise, to back again - I yelped a little bit. It initially felt like it was trying to rip my member off! In a mild state of panic, I thought I should apply more lube (even though the chamber was saturated) and I went to slide out - and I yelped some more. Somehow (and I'm sure an experienced physicist can probably explain this) but this unit produced a ridiculous amount of suction - so much so that I couldn't pull out. I felt like I was wedged in. I had to pull extremely hard to get back out again - in fact, my husband had to help me. After a minute or so, it finally relented and let my poor chap go - not before making an awfully loud and rude noise - and I popped out.

My husband gave it a try and had exactly the same results. "Perhaps it's because we're holding it?" In fact, when you are laying down and just holding it, when it moves on the back and forth motion, the unit naturally wanted to move back and forth in my hand - it looked like it was trying to juice a lemon.

So for the sake of science (again) - I dared to apply the suction cup to a surface and go 'hands free'. So I applied to the underside of a table, sat in a chair and went in. Unfortunately, when applying it to the table, to get the best position, this meant the buttons were now on the underside, so I couldn't see them - so it took a little guesswork, fumbling around to turn it on.

After applying liberal amounts of lube, I again slid in and turned on. The initial 2 settings were still relatively pleasant, but again, once I moved on to the other more... aggressive.. settings, it did not feel good. And it still caused a massive vacuum inside, and once again, needed my husband to help pull me out.

"That is not coming out again," he said to me. And on this occasion - I agreed with him. So it was with a heavy heart that I had to send the Zini Bang Bang back to Lovehoney. It really is a great idea, and the build and quality of the toy is wonderful - it looks great, it feels solid and well built... but I don't know if I was too big, or if someone just has a really odd idea of what is supposed to feel good, but this just didn't work for me - at all. Which is really disappointing.

Luckily I still have my Cobra Libre and the Apollo Power Stroker, which are both wonderful vibrating masturbators in my opinion. At least it doesn't feel like I've put my knob in a blender.

    2. Overall Rating
      2 out of 10 stars
      Pros
Good concept, great design and build - feels really premium.
      Cons
Painful, heavy, just way too much going on.
      Bottom line
A swing and a miss. Painful and not at all fun. A certified passion-killer.
