    1. Posh Pocket Vibe

Reviewed: 17 August 2012 by RedCheeks, a Bisexual Single Female

The Pocket Toyfriend range consists of four very different looking options of mini vibrator:

The Foxy: Pink in colour, its discreet shape and Magenta colouring combined mean it perfectly resembles a lip balm or lipstick.

The Zany: Blue in colour, it even features two very sweet looking antennas which look quite like mini rabbit ears.

The Nice: Bright yellow in colour, it’s cheerful and curvy with its bubble shaped head.

The Posh: Black in colour, it is simple yet elegant in design with a wide and curved head. The Posh definitely has a sophisticated feel to it.

The Pocket Toyfriend I chose to best suit my taste is the Posh.

      Packaging:

The Posh arrived in simple yet informative, compact packaging, a lightweight and recyclable cardboard box featuring a image of the toy inside and some essential information like what the product materials are and how it is powered. It even tells you about the toys one-year warranty!

Included within the box is an information leaflet with usage instructions.

      First Impression:

Once removed from its packaging I was surprised by not just how compact the Posh is but by how simple and discreet it looks in person. The white ABS plastic section of the toy has the word ‘tickler’ engraved into it and the rest of the toy is stunningly simple in design. The black silicone head of the Posh is velvety smooth to the touch and has a stylish look with its matt black finish. Another thing that surprised me about Posh is the nice amount of weight that it has for a toy of it size. With the toys base being made of plastic I expected it to be very light but it actually feels quite sturdy to hold.

When measured, the Posh proves to be true to his pocket friendly name.

      Total Length: 3 ½ Inches

      Circumference: 2 ¼ inches

      In use/Experience:

Placing batteries in the Posh is particularly easy to do if you have ever owned a ‘pocket rocket’ type vibe. At the point where the plastic portion of the toy meets the silicone, the two sections of the toy can be twisted apart to reveal the battery compartment which handily is powered by just one AAA battery. As someone who is not a fan of having to buy watch sized batteries just so I can enjoy bullet vibes or travel friendly toy, I am a more than pleased to own an equally travel handy vibrator with none of the fuss of awkwardly sized or expensive batteries!

Once the single AAA battery is placed in the compartment and the two sections of the toy are twisted together again, you will notice that there is an arrow on the toy that points to either ON/OFF or OPEN and can be moved from one to the either with a gentle twist. As easy as it is to turn the toy on when needed, I get the impression that it is quite unlikely to find any way of switching itself on accidentally (always a concern when travelling with toys or keeping them in your handbag)

When switched on the Posh has one mode of vibration which is actually quite strong at the head of the toy and manages not to carry down to the base of the toy too much, no more tingly fingers after a long session! The single mode of vibration from the Posh is strong and steady, certainly as strong as I ever crave a clitoral toy to be and for a toy that takes one AAA battery that’s pretty impressive!

In use the angled head of the Posh has no problems nestling into the clit for intense direct stimulation. I had originally been attracted to the Posh by its matt black silicone and the elegant look of its design but in use the design proves to be as ergonomic as it is attractive.

      Care:

Made of ABS plastic and Silicone, Pocket Toyfriends are easily cleaned with either a specialized toy cleaner or just warm soapy water. I would recommend using a water based lubricant but whatever lubricant you choose, be sure to check that it is compatible with silicone toys (silicone lubricants are generally not recommended for use on silicone toys)

      In Summary:

With four stylish designs to choose from I’d highly recommend checking out the Pocket Toyfriend range of handy travel-friendly vibes. Strong vibrations that stay concentrated in the head of the toy and all the pros of a bullet vibe with none of the awkward battery fuss.

    1. Posh tickler

Reviewed: 10 August 2012 by WakkaWakka

The packaging and Posh Tickler are a treat to look at. The box design is modern, fun and have no cheesy pictures or taglines. The toy itself is sleek, soft to touch and very easy to use with just a twist of the base. It's the perfect shape for comfortable clitoral stimulation as well as stroking along the body (inner arms, thighs, nipples etc).

My quibble about this vibe is that the vibration, although strong, is more of a wasp-like buzz which can become quite intense and almost numbing after a while.

This type of vibration may be fine for some but, for me, I need a more throb-like senation to climax. This toy just didn't do it for me.

    1. The Tickler

Reviewed: 18 April 2013 by bluekaren, a Bisexual Engaged Female

I wanted to like this toy. The shape is nice for holding flat on the clitoris (or other body part) or turning on its side for more pin point vibrations. The Posh Pocket Toyfriend is not a powerhouse toy. Pushing it hard where I want the vibrations does not really help, unfortunately. It really only results in smashed buzzy vibrations, but not stronger. Lightly placing it were I want vibrations makes me want more. Then I am all like, I want more! Where are my other clitoral toys? My clit is so spoiled. Using this during sex is do-able because it is small and fits nice between bodies. Regrettably, I get so distracted with other sensations that the Posh Toyfriend fades into the background and I am left using the shape to strum my clit with it’s hook-like lip.

Posh is a discreet pocket clitoral vibrator. I think the extra silicone around the head of the tip, the hook-type lip, does this toy an injustice. Silicone is not the best vibration conductor and thick hardish silicone like on the Posh is even worse. That coupled with the AAA battery for power and we get a vibe that isn’t quite strong enough. I liked the Foxy Toyfriend, it was adequate, but the Posh doesn’t work the same way for me. It is quiet, waterproof, easy to use and has a great shape. I am not sure what else I could ask for… oh wait, a bit more power? Yes, just a bit (or a lot) more power and I would love this toy, instead of just kind of liking it. As it is, I think is an okay toy. But not quite enough for me to make this my go to. This toy frustrated me with it’s almost enough vibrations. Just like the Foxy, it is a tickler and meant to get you started, not really finish you off. It even says so on the side!

The Posh is made of body safe silicone and plastic. It is easy to clean with soap and water or a sex toy cleaner. It is submersible, so feel free to take it in the shower, bath, or pool. The silicone is smooth and hard. Really no give at all in the material. The base is made of shiny, smooth plastic. The base screws off to reveal the battery compartment. The Posh is so quiet I can barely hear it at all. It is quieter than a cell phone on vibrate. Oh yea, and it takes 1 AAA battery for power. The battery slides in easy. The battery is loose in the compartment but does not vibrate noisily against the plastic. I am not sure how this is possible. I sure wish Toyfriend would tell some other companies how they did this.

The Posh has a slide lock for the battery which also serves as the turn on/off function. The unfortunate thing about that is that I can never remember which way to turn the base to turn it on and half the time I turn it and the base comes loose instead of turning on. Also, if you put it on with the arrow on the other side of the cap, not where the on/off words are, it will not turn on at all. Making you think that the battery is dead. Sending you on a battery hunt when all you want to do is play with your toy. Then come to find out you had the cap on backwards… oops! More idiot proof please.

It only has one speed. I would rate it as a 2.5/5. It is not really strong, but some woman may find this is quite enough… a few… like a small percentage of woman probably… the ones who get off on a cell phone vibrations… the ones who don’t know the difference between AA battery power and AAA battery vibrations. Anyway, it is buzzy. Quiet and buzzy.

Also, the box is kind of cute. It is a bit informative and not discreet. The box is a bit playful and fun looking. It comes with the toy nestles in plastic and a small leaflet about care and maintenance. No storage pouch. This toy could probably use one too since it is small enough to loose if you drop it in your big ass luggage sized purse, or your draw full of unmentionables.

I think this toy would be nice as a first time sex toy. The price is nice and it has some good features. If you hate it you won’t be out a whole lot of money, and if you like it it is a steal at less than $20. If you like light vibrations then this might work for you. Those of you with a clit-o-steel better steer clear of this vibe.

      Not recommended.
