Good Vibes Only centres on Fanny (Lamy) and Tom (Cluzet), a couple who’ve been together for 20 years. They’re happily married, but Fanny has a secret – she has never had an orgasm.

When Tom finds out, throws himself into research. He’s going to invent a sex toy that will change the lives of women everywhere; and that toy is the Womanizer. Who really invented the Womanizer?

Good Vibes Only may be a French blockbuster, but the real inventor of the Womanizer lived in a small village in Southern Germany.

In the early 2010s, inventor Michael Lenke came across research showing that many women struggle to reach orgasm through penetration alone. In fact, studies still show that most women either need (36%) or prefer (36%) clitoral stimulation to have an orgasm.

At the time, the sex toy industry was dominated by phallic-shaped vibrators – it was all about penetration. But what if Michael could invent a sex toy that was focused entirely on clitoral pleasure?
