Fukuoku Glove
Reviewed: 17 November 2005 by Quixotic
My girlfriend and I have a lot of toys. Seriously, a lot. We recently had to go to a certain Swedish purveyor of fine flat-pack furniture to get something in which to house our collection. The bed-side table and duffle bag under the bed system had fallen apart catastrophically.
One of the more amusing items we own is the Fukuoku Glove. You may or may not have heard of the fingertip vibrator baring the name Fukuoku. If you haven't, you have my sincerest sympathies.
It's a simple concept, a tiny vibrator that slips over the tip of your finger for extra special diddling delights. Powered by a small battery it's a clever little fella, though perhaps a little weak.
Along came the glove. Not only do you fet a fingertip massager on every finger they're powered by an external AA battery pack. The battery pack sits in the glove at the wrist quite comfortably and most importantly, more power means stronger vibrations.
The vibration has two settings, both of which are quite pleasant. Infact, on the lower setting the glove perfectly serves its advertised purpose of being a massage glove. We've tried a traditional rub-down with it and the gentle tingle is utterly soothing.
On the stronger setting is where the fun happens. Not that you can't have some between the thighs enjoyment on the lower setting but if you're going for the gusto turn it up! Every one of your digits becomes alive with vibration and the merest touch can be immensely satisfying for the lucky woman.
Now a word of warning. This device is not for penile pleasures. In theory the glove would suit taking yourself in hand. Vibrating fingers? Yes please. Naturally I gave it a go.
The sad fact that I have to report is this, because the fingertip massagers project a little way from the tips of your fingers you lose a little manual dexterity. It makes treating yourself somewhat awkward. Too much so for my tastes at least. If you're lucky enough to have a sensative perenium go for it. Other than that I'd say stick to the gentle rub downs, fore play and the lucky woman in your life.
One last note about the glove, this one a word of warning for the wearer. Build up your partner on the lower setting before going for broke. The high power vibrations are not for prolonged use unless you enjoy numb fingertips. Sensation returns soon enough but all that buzzing, well, at your fingertips can have a temporarily aderse effect on your sense of touch.
Construction wise the glove's a black neoprene affair with the Fukuoku logo on the back. You might feel a little silly with it at first but you get used to it. It's not unattractive but it's not exactly an aesthetic triumph either. It's easy to wear with the vibes well placed in the fingers and a draw-string fastener over the wrist. The battery pack sits inside the neoprene, protected and hidden. It improves the look, certainly, but also adds my one real complaint. The switch is on the battery back so it can be fiddly to get hold of mid-use.
Overall this is something that's great for romantic massages, fore play and even for the end game if you want it to work that way for you. We use it, we like it and we give it our seal of approval.
If you're not sure try a fingertip massager from fukuoku first. It's a cheap way to give the fingertip massage game a try. If you're feeling a little bolder, go for the glove! I for one don't think you'll regret it.

Fukuoku Five Finger Massage Glove, Right
Reviewed: 22 June 2007 by trollstar, a Bisexual Single Female
This is a full hand glove (left is also available) with a flat vibration pad at each fingertip. Use as a massage glove for aching shoulders and other bits.
-
- Pros
- If the glove is on a partner and used with other activities it adds an extra buzz
- Cons
- It buzzes more than vibrates, very loud!! The vibrating pads are solid little rectangles and tend to move just as you get them where you want them
- Bottom line
- Useful for achy muscles, not so useful as a sex toy. One of my less successful purchases

Not powerful enough
Reviewed: 02 October 2006 by pjdavo
I loved the idea of this toy but unfortunately the vibrators are just not powerful enough to finish the job! Its a nice way to get started and would be fun to use on a partner who was very sensitive but it just didnt do the job for me.
-
- Pros
- Nice and ticklish, probably best for foreplay
- Cons
- Vibrations are just not powerful enough to finish the job.
- Bottom line
- Nice idea, but needs a bit of work.

Nothing Beats a Bare Hand
Reviewed: 28 February 2008 by bigmanoncampus
This is the newest addition to my collection (just arrived today), and in my humble opinion, the Fukuoku glove is a disappointment from start to finish. The glove itself is comfortable, and I can certainly see how the glove would give a good massage. But for masturbating with? It just isn't very good.
Reasons?
-Its really really noisy
-It leaves your fingers feeling numb
-Its really awkward to use for a casual wank
It is an interesting idea, but doesn't work out in practice. I personally think a masturbator needs to be exceptional because it's hard to beat the skin-on-skin feeling of stroking an erect penis with your bare hand (and a quality lube or masturbation cream - eg. Stroke 29). Some toys meet the standard (eg. fleshlight, Head Honcho), but this one is a disappointment from start to finish.
-
- Pros
- Not much. Might be good for a massage.
- Cons
- Where do I start? Good idea gone very wrong. Read the review.
- Bottom line
- Takes most of the fun out of masturbating and doesn't add much in return.
