As with every parcel from Lovehoney! The moment the mail has been delivered, we waste no time checking out our items. The Bondage Boutique Holographic Kit is presented neatly in a clear sealed plastic packet with a simple rectangle sticker on the front displaying the Bondage Boutique logo and kit name.

Inside the package:

Your eyes are immediately greeted by four stunning holographic pink bondage items. Going from the first look alone they are like no others that we have ever seen. The holographic effect is simply amazing, and on top of that they are pink also Pink! Ranging from beginner to experienced.

The 4 piece kit:

The set is made up of four items. You have a paddle, blindfold, ball gag and some cuffs. They all have the same faux leather feel, and all rock the same shiny metallic effect. The cuffs are lined on the inside with a soft fabric material and aids the comfort in those long sessions of use.

Paddle:

The paddle is of a high quality, well made and strong enough to leave your partner satisfied after some hard spanking. The paddle features a wrist loop which will give you some piece of mind if you're really giving the paddle a good working, and happen to let it slip by mistake the wrist loop has your back. The handle is a good size and provides comfort in your hand while using. There is not much more you can say about this paddle other than it is a great quality paddle.

Blindfold:

The Blindfold is well made as with all the set and has the same layout of Pink Holographic faux leather on the front and soft supple faux leather on the inside the part that sits against your face. The blindfold has a super elasticated head strap which will be suitable for all and holds in place while not being to tight. I did feel the edges of the blindfold was a bit tough and could may dig into your face upon first use. But we found after wearing it for a while and moving the leather around it softened up and we no longer have issues with the edges of the blindfold being too tough.

Ball Gag:

The Ball Gag, once again well made with the same design, Pink Holographic front and soft supple leather on the inside. The strap of the ball gag has a nice length to it and supports a wide range of size sporting a 9-hole buckle fastening system to let you find the best fit for yourself. The end of one of the straps has a quality black metal buckle. The straps are accented with black metal D-rings on the middle which links the straps to the middle strap which is where the ball gag is housed. The ball is made of plastic with the normal breathable holes spread out around the ball. The plastic is sturdy, but I feel it could be broken with a little force. We think this would be much better with a different material ball on it. But that does not take anything away from the ball gag. It looks and feels good while wearing and does its job.

Cuffs:

The cuffs are one of the main items when it comes to bondage in my opinion, and like the rest of the set they do not disappoint. I feel like a broken record, but the cuffs are made of a top-quality Holographic Faux leather on the outside and are lined with soft fabric on the inside providing a comfort zone while still providing the restraint which you desire from cuffs. The cuffs also have rubberised edges, which adds to the comfort level during longer periods of use. The cuffs are fully adjustable to fit a range of sizes. The chain which has a quick-release clip on it for your safety and peace of mind is strong enough to restrain the wearer while still fitting the overall design in my opinion. The cuffs are easily tightened or loosened via metal buckles same as the ball gag simple and easy to use.

Verdict:

Being huge fans of the Dominix range, we never thought we would look elsewhere for our BDSM needs, but seeing the holographic faux leather pink material changed our mind and the full set honestly does not disappoint. In our opinion we would recommend this set to anyone. I simply cannot get over how good the holographic leather is. Just amazing. Top marks, Lovehoney, yet again.

Pink is a colour that is somewhat lacking in our toys and clothes collection. There is a pink fishnet dress as well as some long pink anal beads, but I think that's it!

Anyway, we were more than happy to play pink when this item became available to test. We're huge fans of bondage anyway, so we've already got a few versions of everything included here, but this was a chance to go for something a little visually different.

We'll get delivery out of the way. At the time of writing there are more than a few issues everywhere regarding post and delivery, but this was promptly dispatched and delivered in the usual speedy fashion. Discretion is a huge thing at LH as well, so you can always rely on that.

The actual item is from Lovehoney's excellent Bondage Boutique range, and a browse through this section of LH's website is highly recommended for any bondage enthusiasts. There's a good mix as well, ranging from beginner to experienced.

So you've got four items here - a paddle, a blindfold, a ball gag and some handcuffs. They all have this textured metallic pink design on one side (not that actual ball of the ball gag, obviously), with a comfortable velvet material on the opposite side.

The paddle is good and sturdy, perfect for some spanking, and to be honest the blindfold is almost as sturdy as well. If you lose the paddle you could consider using the blindfold instead!

That's not a complaint, it's just quite rigid, but has the added bonus of a fully elasticated wide head band, making it really easy to put on.

The ball gag is a good size, not too intense and really comfortable to wear (but obviously not too comfortable - can't have that). It also has holes, making breathing nice and easy.

Finally the handcuffs, which are probably the centre-piece. They look stunning, and are really secure, whilst also steering well clear of any chafing. The chain is strong enough, but I don't think the idea is to be too intimidating so it's spot-on.

The overall feeling here is that this is an eye-catching set that is perfect for beginners, or just those who want a bit of visual variety in their bondage box. These items go, unsurprisingly, very well with my OH's pink fishnet dress, so they'll be getting plenty of usage. If you are new to this, then using all items as one has to be tried.

The handcuffs and blindfold are things that are fairly classic BDSM items to try, and we all know that heightens sensations, but include the ball gag and you feel so exposed and restrained. It really adds so much to the intensity.

The paddle is also great for dishing out some punishment before pleasuring your partner. There's also nothing more likely to intensify an orgasm than the feeling that you're not in control of stopping it. Your partner chooses when you've finished!

With that said, always play safe! Some kind of safe word, or if you've got a ball gag in then a sign, should be decided beforehand. It's all about fun!

Anyway, we would recommend this product, unless you already have pink bondage gear. In which case, well done to you!

My items came in discreet packaging which is something I always love about Lovehoney. It's simple and effective at keeping my parcel contents private from anyone who may handle it before it arrives at my door.

Usually pink isn't my favourite colour but I thought I would try something different. This set did not disappoint. The vibrant pink colour is gorgeous. I found the pink more gentle and soft looking than the typical dark colours of all my current bondage gear. It was a very refreshing change. The materials used look and feel good quality.

The ball gag isn't all that comfortable to wear because the material used that covers the corners of my mouth is too rough. The edges dig into my skin there quite a bit. For me the only good feature is that the buckle feels sturdy.

The blindfold takes a bit of work to make it sit properly and completely block vision because the material isn't completely soft and flexible. Though once in place it works very well. The band that sits around my head is very stretchy and comfortable. The only issue is the edge of the material that goes over the top of my nose digs in a bit. I tried to bend the material to see if that softened it up but it didn't seem to make a difference. It wasn't completely unbearable to me but still not the most comfortable.

The paddle is very stiff and definitely gives a firm hit. The loop attached to the handle is very helpful and gives me some extra peace of mind, ensuring that I won't accidentally lose my grip on the paddle and launch it across the room. I am rather clumsy, so I really like this feature.

The handcuffs are very comfortable to wear. The lining is soft and the material of the cuffs is quite squishy while still being firm enough to restrain. The chain that connects the cuffs feels fairly sturdy.
