    1. Spiky but not sharp

Reviewed: 05 December 2019 by Sum Sub

      This pinwheel confuses me.

Firstly, let me say I consider myself an intermediate player with electrosex items, having owned an Electrastim flick for around 4 years now, and having around 8 different types of electrode I use with it.

This one though has left me slightly baffled. Firstly, it looks a lot different from anything else Electrastim that I own, it's less clinical, more every-day looking. I must confess I do like the stainless steel shininess of most of the items I own, but this red and black combo is a significant step away from that. It almost looks kitcheny. Perhaps an effort by electrastim to look less kinky, and more run-of-the-mill?

Part of me thinks it wants to look more friendly, but it's red and black, this is a colour comibination used in nature to warn is it not?

Anyway, onwards from appearance. The toy is light and firm, everything that you can touch on the toy is coated in silicone. It feels ok, not quite what I'm used to on electrosex - which after all is a sensation play, but a sensation none the less.

The wheels are completely detachable, and relatively easy to replace. I say relatively since to truly get them in place you need to hear a click, this proved more tricky than I at first suspected. I managed it after a few tries though. Would highly recommend finding that click, it indicates that the electric will flow as intended.

This is where I get confused again! It seems counter-intuitive that silicone would conduct electric, but it does, and really well too.

I have the stainless double pinwheel too, which in my opinion looks a hell of a lot sexier, and prettier and not nearly as red, and I have to hold my hands up and say this is every bit as good in it's job as a tingly electric pinwheel.

Where it is different is that the silicone wheels here do nothing without the electric - there is no real spike to speak of, and I honestly was surprised by hw little I felt without the electric. Though to be fair, you wouldn't buy this as a regular pinwheel.

The real genius of this type of toy lies in the difference in sensation on skin that is only a few inches apart. Run it over the top of your legs and it's a barely noticeable sensation, even on high settings. Run it across your penis and all of a sudden you hit the roof as the sensation is so crazily intense.

And this really does deliver intense sensations. The little spikes create such a tiny area of contact that you really do feel that intensity, and I, an intermediate player needed the flick on the lower setting to tolerate it on my more sensitive areas.

So, I'm confused cos it looks odd, but I'm impressed because it's every bit as good as it should be.

    2. Overall Rating
      9 out of 10 stars
      Pros
It's so much better than I expected it to be.
      Cons
      Colours!
      Bottom line
It's good, and if you don't want metal it's a great alternative.
