Touché Essentials of Passion Massage Glove

We do love a good massage in our house. And the Mr has definitely got specific needs when it comes to pressure and sensation. My hands can do an okay job, but if I can find a decent tool to help make it easier for me and better for him then I'm happy to look at it. That's why this massage glove caught my eye and I knew that I had to try it out.

I was lucky enough to receive the Massage Glove free of charge in exchange for an honest review.

First Impressions:

Packing is simple and tasteful, and admittedly when you first look at the product it doesn't look like anything I've ever seen before. It's a flat 'glove' with a textured side for your palm (which I assume acts as a non-slip grip?) and an underside which features little metal balls that roll around as you glide it over the skin.

In fact, it kind of looks like a many-wheeled roller skate. But when I took it out of the box and tried it on my arms and legs over my clothes, oh my goodness... It felt really good! So, I already had high hopes that this was going to take our massages to the next level.

In Use:

We tried it out in a Saturday night after the Mr had finished a busy week commuting to and from London. He was complaining of an achy back, so I wanted to do everything I could to try and make him feel better. He showered, got himself dry and naked and then lay on the bed, ready to be worked over like a good piece of dough.

With a good drizzle of oil over the skin, I first worked it into the skin with my hands before donning the glove like a kinky Freddie Krueger and began to work it up his back. He jumped as the cold metal balls initially came into contact with his skin, but he later said that the contrast of the warm oil and cold metal was an extremely pleasant one.

The glove glided over his skin easily, and even with a hairy back at no point did any of his hair get caught or trapped anywhere (which was an initial concern when I first saw the glove).

You can glide the glove gently or you can press down firmer for a more vigorous deep tissue massage (although careful not to get carried away - I may have gotten a bit too heavy-handed...!).

The glove also works well over arms and legs, and because it has a little flex, it almost conforms to the contours of the muscles and again feels wonderful.

I do have giant hands, so I was concerned I wasn't going to be able to hold/use the glove properly, but it does have an adjustable strap and I was able to hold it quite comfortably during use. It certainly added a new and unique element to our massage sessions.

Clean-up and Maintenance:

A good wash with some warm soapy water to remove all the oil is all that's needed - I can let it air dry before putting it away. It’s really that simple!

Summary:

If you enjoy massage as much as we do then this is definitely worth adding to your collection. It won't get used every time - I don't feel it's something I would use during a slow, sensual session - although I would be lying if I said that using this did still lead in to some awesome sexy time fun. But when you really want to treat and pamper someone with a good, firm massage - then this is just what you need.

It's very easy to use, just slip your hand in the adjustable strap on the back and away you go. I used this on my partner first and he loved it. The metal balls were cold and made him jump, but warmed up quickly as I continued to use it and he said he found it very relaxing. I did find my hand slipping out of it, but that's user error as I hadn't adjusted the plastic strap enough!

I can see this being used on a regular basis as part of our massage sessions.

I ordered this so I could treat my husband to a massage as I tend to get cramp in my hands after a short time.

I thought the massage glove was a great idea and couldn't wait to try it out on my hubby.

At first contact it is quite cold and caused my hubby to jump slightly, but it soon warms up after a minute or so.

I applied light pressure to his back and he started to complain that it was scratching him.

I asked him to test the glove on me, and I found that the plastic around the bearings was too high in contrast with the bearings. This caused the plastic to dig into the skin and I received red marks on my back.

This item was used for around 10 minutes in total with massage oil. In this time the chrome had started to come away from the bearings, leaving silver speckles on the skin.

I found the product uncomfortable to use due to the scratching and the weight of the glove.
