Massage is one of our favourite things to do to each other, it's relaxing, makes us feel close and also allows for a bit of sneaky groping.

So we were very much looking forward to trying this little gadget and it was amazing! I like the look of it, a little bit like one of the characters from Pac Man. The LED light is very bright and very pink but I liked it, I think it made for quite a romantic atmosphere. One thing to watch out for is the button to open the battery compartment as it really does make the top spring off!

Once you turn this little beauty on it vibrates quite strongly, I wasn't too sure how that would be relaxing but as soon as it touches your back, wow. It tingles and massages like nothing else. My fella loved it too. It is able to massage any part of the body but we both thought it was at its best on our shoulders, back and arms.

It may feel amazing but it has one downside. It's loud. The vibrating sound is quite loud although it wasn't a problem for us. I would very much recommend giving this little massager a go especially teamed up with a warming massage oil. We used Warming Caramel Flavoured Massage Lubricant which was yummy.

My LP massager arrived as usual with very speedy delivery and in discreet packaging.

The LP packaging itself was very nice, a simple box with instructions but quite elegant.

Personally, my work and studies mean that massage is a dedicated time with me and the OH quite regularly as we both suffer, mainly with our backs. This massager is an absolute treat! It gets so deep into the tissue and the vibrations are very relaxing, enough so that the deep tissue part isn't painful. The vibrations work by a simple on/off button on the top and are quite strong for a battery operated toy; they create quite a dull, low-pitched noise so it's not off-putting. The only negative with the vibrations is that whoever is holding it gets the vibrations through their entire hand which can become quite numbing, but that is to be expected with vibrating massagers.

I have found with some of the non-vibrating, wooden massagers that the skin gets pulled around a lot and you end up focusing on that rather than the muscles. The material of the LP massager is perfect for avoiding this problem. We tried it first off without any oils or lotions and it was still very kind to the skin. Obviously it's personal preference whether you add oils (I always do, the heat they create adds even more to the relaxation).

My last point is based on the appearance of the LP massager. It is very sleek and elegant looking when turned off, the colour scheme is simple. When turned on, the LED glows a fairly neon kind of pink! Pink isn't my ideal colour for a toy, but again, that's just personal preference, and chances are if you're getting the massages you don't have to look at it! The light does mean the massager can be used in the dark and you can see what you're doing, which is handy for night times.

This product is very easy to use and very effective. The appearance is sleek and smooth, and the vibrations are strong enough. Bear in mind batteries are not included so have 3 AAAs at the ready!

Massage plays an important part in our bedroom. They can be slow and sensual and are a great precursor to something a little bit more vigorous and exciting! As we were celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary, I wanted to get a few things to make an evening to remember.

Despite there not being any reviews for it, for £12.99 I thought it was well worth taking a gamble.

First Impressions:

The packaging is very plain and simple, and feels quite cheap and flimsy. The massager itself is made from plastic, and also feels very light and doesn't feel particularly 'sturdy'.

The three ‘bulbous’ massage mounds don’t quite feel smooth to the touch - so when using this you are going to want to ensure the skin is properly slick and slippery, otherwise it's going to drag!

The battery compartment is accessed by a small black button on the top, which when pressed, springs the lid off, so do be careful! The massager needs 3 x AAA batteries (which are not included). To operate the massager, simply push the big button on the top to turn it on, and again to turn it off.

Each of the mounds has an LED light which emits a bright pink hue, allowing for additional mood lighting when the massager is in operation. The massager is not waterproof, so extra care is needed when cleaning this toy after use.

How to use:

So despite being initially underwhelmed with the packaging and how cheap it felt, it was time to test it out. After setting the mood with a shower, followed by laying the husband down on the bed in a room with glowing candlelight and soft music, it was time to begin. It’s important to make sure you use a good quality oil, and use plenty of it to get the best experience with this massager.

After applying a liberal amount to my husband's back, I started to work it in by hand at first, to allow the oil to spread and to warm up, and then it was time to use the massager.

One of the good things about this massager is its shape. It’s really easy to grip, even when you have slippery, oily hands. The button is also easy to press. When the toy springs into life, the mounds light up and it looks really nice.

The vibrations are quite strong, but also somewhat noisy. It’s not the loudest, but it’s certainly not the quietest either – and I grateful we had background music on to act as some sort of distraction. So I began to sweep the massager over his back. I knew it was working nicely because he suddenly just went very quiet, his eyes closed. The vibrations were felt deeply through his shoulder blades, which really helped him relax and loosen up. With gentle pressure, you can really work the vibrations deeply, and the mounds almost feel like knuckles kneading the back.

You don’t need to apply to much pressure all over either - when it came to massaging arms/legs - just the lightest of touches was enough to provide a pleasurable yet relaxing sensation, especially on his sensitive inner thigh that does get somewhat ticklish. After an hour of switching between my hands and the massager, the husband was feeling incredibly relaxed and invigorated, ready to get down to something a bit more vigorous (wink wink).

There are a couple of things that might put some people off. The vibrations are just one single speed, and it’s quite strong. It would have been nice to have changed the intensity and speed of the vibrations (but at the same time, you can achieve something similar just by changing how hard you press the massager against the skin). It also would be nice if it was rechargeable and even had a heat-up option. That would be AMAZING. But aside from that, I was pleasantly surprised that this little massager performed as well as it did, and will definitely see additional uses during our next massage session.

Clean-up and Maintenance:

As this toy is not waterproof, you’ll need to take extra care when cleaning. A soft damp cloth should be enough to get it looking and feeling like new. Once it’s clean, pop it back in it’s box and it’s ready for next time. Just remember to keep spare batteries nearby just in case!

Summary:

It’s not the best massager in the world, but for £13 it doesn’t do a bad job. It’s really easy to use, is comfortable to grip (even when oily) and the lights provide something a little extra and helps enhance that romantic mood. It’s also great to use on your own as well – work out those aches and pains in arms/legs/feet. Just remember to always use oil with the massager as the plastic will drag across the skin and will be very uncomfortable with out.

Bought this for my partner, for back massages. She found that just tickled her too much, which was a shame.

But on the other hand my partner then decided to use it on my penis instead, and that was awesome, at least we found.

The product was fairly cheap, so still felt like I got my money's worth as still in use. Lightweight, easy to hold and the light is great for in dark.

Having previously owned more expensive massagers and being very happy with them, me and my OH decided to try this one out to see if the others were really worth paying a little extra.

Upon receiving the product I was very pleased with the packaging, and when I opened the box I was really happy with the aesthetics of the massager. Despite my previous assumptions (that it would look cheap/too feminine), the pink LED looked great and set the tone for the night when using it in a dark room. It was also very slick in design, with the rubber top giving fantastic grip.

Functionally, however, it left a little to be desired. The vibrations it gave were quite powerful but not really enough to really relieve all the tension in your muscles that can build up, and therefore gave more of a tickle (which still feels good but probably not what you're looking for in a massager).

Also, a tip I'd give anyone thinking of buying this product is to always use some kind of massage oil, as we found (through a number of uses) it didn't run smoothly over the body without.

Overall a good product if you're looking for a lighter massage experience,, but if you want to start the evening off with a more intense sensual experience I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
