Viafem Natural Herbal Sexual Enhancer for Women (2 Capsules)

I was asked to test these Viafem capsules for Lovehoney, a prospect which intrigued me, to be honest. I’ve always wondered what effect products such as these would have, and I was looking forward to giving them a test drive.

They arrived in a hard pink plastic box, not dissimilar to Compede-type blister plasters I’ve had in the past. Nestled inside the box lay two Viafem capsules in a normal tablet blister pack. The packaging impressed me, it would surely of been much cheaper for the manufacturers to simply use a cardboard box.

Sadly, though, the box arrived with very little information with it. I was hoping for a product leaflet to tell me more about the effects and ingredients, but there was nothing. No big issue though. I took to the internet and found the information I was looking for very easily. Viafem is a natural herbal product for women, supplied in capsule form, which is said to increase sexual arousal, aid lubrication and heighten stimulation. It apparently does this by increasing blood flow to the vagina. One capsule is to be taken 30 minutes before sexual activity, and the effects can apparently last in some women for up to 24 hours afterwards. It contains a blend of 8 different herbs, including Red Clove, Sage Leaf extract, Dong Quai and Ginger, and shouldn’t be taken if you’re pregnant, suffer with high blood pressure or heart conditions - If you’re unsure in any way, it’s always best to consult your GP to make sure Viafem is suitable for you to take. Alcohol can affect the results you get from taking Viafem, so excessive alcohol consumption is not advised.

Right, after finding out everything I wanted to know, there was nothing left to do but take a capsule with water and see what effect, if any, it had on me and my vagina!

I have to say, after the 30 minutes were up and me and my significant other got down to the business of sex, we had a fantastic time. I was incredibly aroused, very wet, and felt wonderfully stimulated. My vagina felt alive and strangely more plump than usual. After experiencing several orgasms (this isn’t unusual for me though), we did the usual post sex things and then drifted off to sleep.

The following day whilst out shopping I had a sudden urge to go to the toilet, nothing out of the ordinary there, however what I found when I went to the toilet was very out of the ordinary - it was GREEN! Now initially I panicked a little bit, I couldn’t remember chomping my way through a kilo of spinach, so I couldn’t see a reason for my green waste, then I remembered the Viafem! After a little researching I discovered that it’s not unusual to see this side effect when you’ve taken a strong herbal supplement, so with my mind at ease I got on with the rest of my day. Within a few hours, things were back to “normal” in that department thankfully, and I suffered no other unwanted side effects from taking Viafem.

The second and final capsule led to, yet again, amazing sex. By the time the 30 minute wait time was up, I was raring to go and chomping at the bit to get my fill. Again, very wet, very aroused and genuinely wondering about what these capsules were capable of doing to me.

Sadly, that’s where my experiences with Viafem end, the two capsules that the box contained had gone, and I was left pondering their effectiveness. In reflection, I don’t think that two capsules is enough to be able to test these properly, so I may purchase some more to see if further testing can answer some of the questions that using this product has raised for me. There’s no doubt that I felt like these capsules did something for me at the time of me taking them. I wouldn’t say that I felt any effects the following day, but I definitely did during our foreplay and love making.

Could it simply have been a placebo effect though? Yes, I do think that’s possible, and I would certainly need to try it a few more times to try and rule this out. That said, even if it is a placebo effect, to me this still goes down as a win for Viafem. We all know that mind over matter can be a huge thing, and where you are mentally has a massive impact on your sex life. So if you’re expecting this product to work for you, and because of that it does, then so be it.

Also, our sex sessions can vary greatly... sometimes it’s fairly vanilla, gentle love making, other times we incorporate toys, bondage and the like. These factors could also potentially influence my arousal, or how wet I am. So although I genuinely felt a change in me after taking a Viafem capsule, I feel I’d need to test it a little more to say conclusively that they work. I can however say, without a doubt, that they can turn your poo green!

I think that these capsules could (potentially) be great to keep in, for a night when you want to perhaps turn your arousal and sexual performance up a notch. If they work for you, whether it be because of the ingredients or because it changes things for you subconsciously, then brilliant. I’m sat on the fence, leaning over into favouring the benefits of Viafem ... I just can’t be 100% sure
