Being turned on by the idea of getting spanked, reading reviews singing its praises, and managing to read a delicious exerpt of this book, I couldn't not buy it. And I figured, even if it didn't totally appeal to me, there would be something at least that would tickle my fancy.

So I waited for this book, excited but also a bit unsure as to whether it would do anything for me, and I pounced on it almost as soon as it came through the door.

I will tell you now - I could not put this book down. Whenever someone came into my room, I would hide it under my covers, and then delve into it again immediately after they had left.

As other people have said, you can take each chapter as a separate short story (but it's more delicious to read it as a whole). Over The Knee follows a woman who, from a young age, has been fascinated by the idea of being spanked, and caned: but most importantly, punished. Sometimes her decisions had me wincing, because I knew she'd get caught out or that it was a bad idea, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of this book. Far from it, in fact!

Scene after scene left me hot, bothered and squirming. More than once I had to take a break to ease the pressure, as it were. But immediately I would go straight back to the book. I literally couldn't put it down, and finished it in less than half a day! And it didn't just have spanking - there was some roleplay, and also a few girl-on-girl scenes.

One other minor point in this book's favour, I'd like to point out that there were very few (if any) spelling and punctuation mistakes, which is unlike a lot of erotica I've read. It's well-written, good vocabulary range, and— You don't really care about those details, do you? :P But mistakes often catch my attention and detract from my enjoyment of a book: just another reason why this book is perfect.

So, seriously, I recommend you buy it if spanking gives you a thrill. Some of the scenes might not appeal to you (like birching, caning or getting the belt) but it's easy to place yourself in the main character's shoes and experience her punishment along with her.
