    1. Tempting but dangerous

      I've benefited from using cock rings in the past, particularly rubber or leather ones, to give that extra bit of support at the root. I was attracted by the smoothness and colour of this cock ring, but that distracted me from looking at the safety aspect.

      I had a bit of difficulty slipping it on and immediately I wondered how I was going to get it off. During the act it performed OK – as any cock ring would – but afterward I was left with a swollen set of genitals that just wouldn't go down. The longer it stayed on, the more swollen my genitals were.

      I tried using an ice pad, a hacksaw (on the ring, not my genitals) and even considered calling 999 for an ambulance! Eventually we did get it off with a long cold shower and a rusty old set of bolt cutters.

      I'd advise sticking to cock rings that can be removed easily, either because they have a fastener, or can be cut quickly in an emergency.

      Cons
      There's no fastener, so once aroused, it's difficult to remove. Potentially dangerous.
      Bottom line
      I'd avoid it and buy one with a fastener. Use leather, rubber or rope instead.
