This is a fantastic toy for newbie sexy toy users and experienced users alike.

You can control the levels of vibration with easy to use buttons which are easily accessible while in use. The toy is deceptively powerful for a vibrator of that size.

The initial charge time via USB was a little over an hour and the charge lasts a long time while in use.

The toy comes in a nice presentation box with a small drawstring bag which can be used to store the toy while not in use, making it quite discreet for travel or storage.

The toy is also very quiet, and the vibrations can be easily masked by shutting the door or putting on some music if you are worried people will hear.

The lipstick shape of the toy is not particularly intimidating and the different colours available for the item are quite attractive.

Packs One Hell Of A Punch

I had been thinking of buying a Lelo Mia, having read about its power and seen its excellent reviews. It looked stylish and well made. So it was in my Wishlist. Then it appeared as a Deal of The Day - and I pounced. Black was the preferred colour. Ordered.

A few days later, a large LH box arrived, inside which was a quite small shiny black box. Inside was an elegant matt black box, which would not disgrace a watch or piece of jewelry. Very nice. Inside was the Mia, carefully nestled in its plastic tray. Underneath was a USB lead for charging, the instructions and other paperwork, a sachet of lube - and a storage bag. This is the best presented sex toy I have ever seen!

So... charge it up - plug the Mia into its lead, plug lead into PC - LED flashes away for about 2 hours - job done. Quick test, to understand it - well didn't want to look silly... Simple controls, '+' for on/increase, '-' for decrease/off. Press '+' to go through the various modes. Okay, back in its box ready to give to its new owner.

The day arrived and the Mia was duly presented - and tested. Results were most satisfactory. Comparison was made to a Wand - no contest there, but definite 2nd place displacing another well reviewed toy. Further testing was clearly required, which was promised - and is reported on by its owner, below.

Miow Mia

I had been pondering the Lelo Mia for a while and gladly snapped it up when it came on DOTD a few weeks ago. Mia is my first step into the world of luxury sex toys and now that she is in my possession I’m thinking, why didn’t I invest sooner. All I can say is you get what you pay for.

She is beautifully presented in a luxury box, tucked away safely for transit. The box is minimal and sophisticated, with no hint of what it’s contents may be. Inside the box is everything Mia needs to survive; an instruction/care manual, a lovely satin storage pouch and a sachet of lube (just in case?) and even a USB extension cable.

I charged up Mia in my USB wall adapter. She looks like a regular USB stick but a tiny bit bigger. Mia is robust with her hard shell and solid plastic appearance and certainly wouldn’t go amiss if I left her out charging by accident. Inconspicuous to say the least.

Once Mia was charged up I was ready to go. The + and - buttons are self explanatory really. I fired her up ready to go, slowly working my way up. But I had to double check she was working. Why? Because she is so quiet that for most of the speeds I couldn’t hear her and by the time I could hear her buzzing away Mia’s power took over. She is a feisty one and for her size has a lot in store. If you make it through all of the speeds on offer there is an added bonus… three perfectly pulsing patterns. There are no silly waves and changing tempos, just pure simplicity. And it’s the simple things in life that are sometimes the best.

So she has the moves, but how do they weigh up in the *ahm* bedroom? Well I was blown away. They say the best things come in small packages and I agree. I had complete control over the speed and rhythm of the vibrations and the tapered tip allowed for pinpoint precision. I was a happy bunny the first time I used Mia… and the second…

Because she is hard plastic Mia is also really easy to clean. A squirt or two of Lelo cleaning spray and she is as good as new and ready for our next encounter.

And if all that wasn’t enough Mia is travel friendly. When both buttons are pressed at once whilst she is switched off, Mia can be locked so that she can’t start buzzing away in my handbag.

So should you get a Mia? Well I wish I bought mine months ago!
