I bought these as they were the cheaper version of the coloured ones in here, and you got an extra one so I thought that would be better.

Saying that, they have a lower melting point; I thought that it would be a lot lower to what it was, it took about the same time to melt and felt the same to normal candles.

When they started dripping, it was hard to control them and, what started out as a drop per few seconds, was a constant stream of hot wax which, whilst some may like it, it was too much for me and my partner.

For value of money, these are really good if you're really into it.

After reading about bondage candles and how to use them, I spotted this on the Deal of the Day so I decided to give it a go. The idea of using some heat pain during out bondage sex sessions appealed to me as a way of 'heating' things up.

These candles arrived very quickly thanks to Lovehoney's excellent, speedy and discreet wrapped posting. The packaging is exactly that on the product picture, not too cringe-worthy and pretty simple. It is made from cardboard and so easily recyclable.

Included in the pack are 4 unscented bondage candles and a blindfold. I threw the blindfold away immediately as it is cheap, tacky and almost see-through.

Bondage candles should be used during candle melting on a person as they melt at much lower temperatures which do not burn if you are holding the candle far enough away. It is suggested that you try the heat out on yourself first so you realise the temperature and if needed adjust accordingly.

The OH and I tried these candles quite far away and they were too painful, so we adjusted and tried again, still too painful. In the end, I was holding this candle literally a metre away and it still hurt. At this point we gave up.

Now, I am not a wimp as such with pain, we have regular spanking sessions sometimes very hard that leave me red for a day or two. However, there was something about the heat sensation I just did not like.

After just one use these candles have carried on staying in their box, which is a shame as I was really looking forward to trying these out. I may give them to a friend to try, see if they get on better.

Other people may get on better than we did if they enjoy more of a heat pain aspect. I would suggest anyone buying these or any other candles make sure you fully know what you are doing to avoid any burns.

My Fiancé and I were so excited to finally get some candles. They come in a smallish box with 4 thin white candles inside.

Here's the problem. To not burn my Fiancé I had to nearly hold them up to the ceiling, so the drops cooled before hitting his skin. I am quite short and to use these comfortably is too dangerous.

They need to be a lot cooler then they are and I think they are quite dangerous if people don't realise this before hand.

I wouldn't recommend these to anyone to be honest. I think there must be better candles out there that are more cool then these very hot ones.
