I haven't really done much anal play, (not for want of trying, I just find it very painful) only having used a bullet vibrator in the past.

I want to try something new...on a budget. I have narrowed it down to the following two:

I am unsure whether to go with a butt plug that I can use during intercourse and foreplay or the prober, any tips, advise or comments?

They are both currently on the 3 for 10 offer, so you can have them both and something else (for example, one of the available lubes in the offer - though I am not sure how suitable they are for anal play).

Id do as Menyanthe has suggested and get 3 for £10, there isnt an anal lube but http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=28057 is very yummy and not nasty or sticky.

I also have http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=16053 (think my reviews on there somewhere) and it was perfect as a starter plug, infact its still one of my favourites to use.

Just take it nice and slow and just making sure your completely relaxed is key to avoiding painful experiences and you should be fine :)

i think the 3 for £10 suggestion is perfect if you can't decide get both and an extra treat for yourself all for a couple of quid more than the prober on it's own

if size is an issue the only anal toy i own is very similar to the Jolie mini butt plug http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=24420 it's equivalent to the size of a finger and could easily be used on it's own or for foreplay & intercourse

I'm going to be different and say this one: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=21767

It's only slightly dearer but silicone is a far better material than rubber. It's up to you though which you decide to go for :)

EDIT: Oh, and always, always use lube! Water-based lube specifically for anal play is always best. And never put anything up your bum that doesn't have a flared base or a stopper at the end of it.

My god, I am so stunned how helpful and lovely everyone here is.

Avrielle, your post couldn't have been more helpful, you really shouldn't stop posting long comments.

I am going to go for the butt plug for now as I think I will prefer being able to maintain penetration during intercourse. The prober is definitely staying on the wih list though.

Thank you all so much for your advice :)
