I'm diabetic and suffer from thrush alot. I've recently read my lube could be causing me grief after a sessions with my toys from love honey. Dunno if anyone is same and can advise one for me to try.
glycerin-free lubricant is one I read but does love honey even sell any?

    We use this one http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=13084

It's water based and glycerine free.

Although it's listed as anal lube, it's great for vaginal play too as it lasts for ages. My OH uses it vaginally with her 10" dildo and never needs to top up.

LH sell it in a smaller bottle too. The biggest problem with the big bottle is storing it. It's a bit like hand soap in that once you untwist the pump, you can't seal it again, so if anything touches the top of the pump, you'll have lube everywhere!

Glycerin is such a problem ingredient, but I'd also advise you to avoid parabens. Avoid Durex, ID Glide and KY if you're sensitive as these are some of the worst sugary offenders! Lovehoney sell quite a few that are free from both and you can check by looking in the key features section on the product pages :) x

I would recommed any of these:

Yeah natandtom I'm very particular with lubes I couldn't get on with one of the lovehoney bottles the blue one I think couldn't remember the name but it just burned and I had to shower immediately to relieve it. I was shocked when I just read it could be my lube. I was thinking it might have been my toys but I washed them before and after so was like whyyyyy. Joys of pregnancy adding to it too. Sucks.

What material are the toys made from? It could potentially be them depending what they're made from. Some can't be cleaned properly, so they harbour bacteria and can cause infections

Silicone. I have used condoms on them too as I found that a little easier some days then rinsed them off afterwards. :( guess I shall have to bin them if that's the case and invest in only ones I can fully cleanse.

Silicone is non-porous and can be properly cleaned. Rubber is porous, so that one might be the problem.

Could it possibly be the lubricant on the condoms that's irritating you?

I am not on good terms with them either, one of their lubricants gave me a shockingly bad UTI a couple of years ago! Never again.

I'd recommend anything Sliquid if you're sensitive down below as they're one of the most female-friendly brands available. A little pricier than some other brands, but so worth it!

100% agree with Nat. We use sliquid now and I have been itchy free ever since! My husband too. He got irritated and couldn't understand why until we changed our lube!

if it worked then buy the bigger 500ml bottle.

I have 500ml and that lasted me 3 years lol before it ran out.

You shouldn't leave lubes open that long! Most are only good for one year to twenty-four months max.

Plus, the lubricant you suggested contains the ingredient the OP is looking to avoid :)

We use silicone lubes with all our silicone toys all the time and have no issues at all. The toys are all Tantus or Fun Factory and the silicone lubes are Pjur original and Pjur Woman. We also use Liquid Silk with these toys and that, despite being water-based containes 2% silicone - again no issues.

My suggestion is to do a small patch test on the base of the toys with one of the Pjur silicone lubes just to check but I would be very surprised if you actually get a compatibility issue. We wash the toys with a fairly generous amount of liquid hand-wash and the silicone lube disperses fine.
