Warning: this topic may upset or cause conflict.

I was circumcised aged 10 for 'medical' reasons (an ignorant doctor unaware of alternative treatments and/or biased by religion/culture). The trauma following this led to my not starting masturbation until age 15, and severe difficulties for the first 2 years of being sexually active with partners.

I am not here to say that a circumcised male cannot have a fulfilling sex life, as indeed I know that I can.

    What I wish to know:

Has anyone on this forum had significant experience of sex as an intact male, then been circumcised and had experience of that, and then proceeded with and completed foreskin restoration and has experience of that. Essentially, I want to talk to people who can discuss sexual pleasure intact vs cut vs restored.

The links that made me interested in this:

There is no medical justification for the vast majority of male circumcision: "Cultural Bias in the AAP’s 2012 Technical Report and Policy Statement on Male Circumcision."

If you doubt this, consider how incidence of circumcision is weighted by culture. Finland has no culture of cutting, and so only 1 in 16,000 males are deemed to medically require circumcision.

Male circumcision is directly comparable to 'female genital mutilation': "A rose by any other name? Rethinking the similarities and differences between male and female genital cutting."

If that shocks you, there are plenty of studies detailing capacity for sexual pleasure of FGM victims: "Orgasm in ritually circumcised African women."

A discussion, with sources, of the anatomy of the male and female genitalia and what is removed with cutting:

    On foreskin restoration:

NSFW: 200 days of foreskin restoration (this video proves the possibility).

    An overview:

    Progress reports:

Anyway, maybe someone has experience of this. It's nigh on impossible to find the specific experience I'm asking about.

I was not circumcised as a child and when I became sexually active always wore a condom. Once my wife and I started trying for a family I found bareback painful as my foreskin was too tight. I discussed the options open to me with my GP and elected to be circumcised.

For me it was very successful. It has caused no problems at all and sex is much more pleasureable.

I have the exact same issue as LV. I was fine when wearing a condom but my tight foreskin is a real issue when trying for a family. It means I have to get my wife really really wet or it pushes back and becomes very painful.

I am working on stretching it but might have to get the snip myself!

I dont agree with it being done unless someone chooses to do it themselves in later life but it seems absolutely nuts to go through an op to put it back.

Im uncircumsised with no issues of tightness and the foreskin just retracts and stays down when you have sex anyway.

Mr was in the same boat as Dave and LV. He was left with no option as it was so tight it started splitting (ouch!). sex for both of us since circumcision has actually been better than even before the tightening and there is no way he would ever want it restored.

I know it probably doesn't help much but just thought I would share our experience.
