I (very) recently introduced my sister to this site as her husbeand suffered a severe 'central nervous system' at the early age of 45. This ruined their sex life - apart from Viagra. Relying on this pill apparantly became too much and so it's a 'pink' pill every other day and a blue one the others. (Pink=Jessica Rabbit:) ) I have since recommened the LH Jessica Rabbit G-Spot to my sister - boith of which she adores.

I was thinking of a christmas present for them both - perhaps a cockring? And would love some feedback on anybody who has used vibrating cockrings - and if they are that good, maybe I'll get one for my partner too:)

I'm not a huge fan of cockrings but perhaps have a forum search for couple toys other than cockrings?

Have to agree - from my experience the vibrating ones are a bit crap.

But then the normal ones are supposed to help with erections so it might be a nice idea!

It's quite hard to recommend something without knowing the likes and dislikes of the people involved. I also don't have a clear grasp on what the medical condition is so I wouldn't want to recommend anything without understanding physical limitations of the husband. If you could share some more details I'm happy to try and help!

Personally I do like the Basics vibrating cockring: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=14877 it's great value and good fun!

I'd recommend checking with your sister before buying anything, she or her husband might not be comfortable with you buying them sex toys...I'd be a bit uncomfortable if my OHs brother brought me/us stuff...not sure why though! Probably worth just checking to spare any awkward family christmas moments!

Peachy - thanks for that, they seem to be relatively cheap too. A stocking-filler for him?

Hmmmm. I agree with KittyPurry - your sister might be comfortable with that kind of present from you, but I'd really check first, especially if it's more for her hubby! Unless, you know, you just have that open and sharing a family relationship anyway, which is great but really uncommon!

As for what to get - it sounds like you want something to enhance their ability to continue having "ordinary" penetrative sex. A cock ring will physically aid blood retention, prolonging and hardening an erection (in theory; I never get on with them, but many people are big fans!) so if that sorts it out, great!

Other things they might want to explore are stimulating gels (increased sensation / sensitivity) which could help him stay excited, pumps, and prostate massage. Not knowing the type and extent of his condition, it's really hard to be precise, but I understand that massaging the prostate either manually or with a purpose-made plug can stimulate an erection / ejaculation even in cases where there is little nerve function. Obviously, he should have a long talk with his doctor or a specialist as to what is appropriate for him.

    Best of luck,

    MrMr

Hi - it's difficult to actually understand my BIL's condition. His CNS broke down and he was in hospital for 4 months with the risk of entire paralysis. He got over it although has one dodgy leg and has a strange limp. He can still ski and cycle but my sister hardly understands herself which doesn't really help me explain.

He is prescribed Viagra which my sister claims to be pretty good, but it is a rarity if my BIL comes without - and certainly can't have sex without those little blue meanies.

My sister is pretty open about it with me as I have a great sex life and I think that she is wanting the same.

What sort of stimulating gels are out there? And thanks, Minx - I'll check out your review:)

Well, you came (ahem!) to the right place!

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/sex/better-sex-for-him/boost-his-sex-drive/ has a lot of different types of product, depending on what effect you're after. The simplest creams and gels just have something tingly like ginger or peppermint to get you going, while other products claim to enlarge / enhance / harden / increase your attractiveness to the opposite sex. Some work for some people, others don't do much.

If you look at http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/brands/aneros/ you'll see the best toys for prostate massage (rather than just anal play). Haven't used them -yet - so can't do any more than point you at them.

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/sex-toys/male-sex-toys/penis-pumps-enlargers/ will give you some idea of the range of things available to manually erect the penis. Some of these are specifically designed to be used with a ring, so once you've got it up, you can put that new-found hard-on to good use! Again, I can't recommend, just show you what's out there.

It seems as though you're looking for something that will help your BIL reduce his dependency on the little blue pills for sex. Something here might just do the trick. Or maybe he and your sister will be able to find a different way to continue having a satisfying sex life without there having to be penetration every time?

How about a massage candle set?

It's not overtly sexual, very subtle and stylish. I know most people here would love to find one under their tree

Thanks, Mr Monster - what a choice! I have no idea which would be the best as I have no aim on spending all my money on my sister!

Don't thank me, thank Love Honey !

Also, beware! If you spend too long on here, you will end up spending all your money on gorgeous things.

Though not necessarily for your sister . . .

I, too, thoroughly recomend the massage candles. Every home should have one!
