    Hi all,

My girlfriend and I have been going out for a few years and have, at times, experimented with different things like mild bondage. Over the last year our sex life has suffered quite a bit. This is more due to external reasons more then anything else. We're going on a road trip in a while and I wanted to buy some stuff to make it more interesting and bring a little spice to our life...

I started with the idea of getting a board game like monogamy (seams the one most people recommend) but now am thinking of getting a few things. At the moment i'm thinking:

Rope - rather then handcuffs, more useful...

Eye mask - Scarve, other ones you can always see out of

Ben wa balls - She's wanted to try them for a while...

Whip/Paddle - Nothing that will hurt too much but could be used for a little fun.

Any suggestions? Also, is there starter kits like this? I know you can get ones purely for tieing someone up but is there more general ones you can get?

    Cheers all

If you're looking at bondage play, the Bondage Boutique range is fab!

We have this paddle http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=15736 the suede side is very soft for beginners and the leather side is nice and cooling (though a little sharp to use for spanking for me, it's fab for stroking).

For tie up, we use lengths of ribbon for tying wrists and ankles - much gentler on the skin.

We also have a length or lace which we use to wrap around my fellas balls - he really likes the idea of being tugged gently in the right direction when I'm "in charge" though it's usually him who's in charge!

Also a feather is amazing for sensory play - blindfold your lady and drag a feather like this http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=15808 over her body and she'll love you forever!

In terms of actual "starter kits" I'd say the nicest touch is putting something together yourself! If you want to give a gift to your partner you could include some lovely little bits for her too like this http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=11492 some candles, and lush lovelies wrapped in paper with the kinky things you're planning - making it personal will make all the difference.

The sliquid flavoured lubes are an absolute must have! And one of the little ID silicone ones are pretty lovely too :) lube makes everything better. And maybe a couple of disposable cock rings and a little bullet for play?

Also massage bars are much better than oils when you're travelling, Lush do some seriously yummy ones my favourites the strawberry it smells divine!

    Have a lovely trip!

If you're looking for something multi fuctional I'd recommend this flogger - really soft and sensual but you can get quite a thud with it if you swing it hard enough - never a sharp sting. It was on our first order through lovehoney & many orders later it's still a favourite.

I agree with ilmm - I love Monogamy too - a great way to enjoy hours of each other's saucy company & AdnaW is right Bondage boutique is both affordable & quality.

Just spotted this which might be of interest (not tried it myself so cannot recommend) but it has an eyemask and a crop

or maybe this one if you're after a ready-made kit

I have to say though, hubby and I quite enjoy shopping for things bit-by-bit - the actual act of sitting down and shopping together can be quite a turn-on

I can certainly recommend suede things; very sensual and tactile, all sorts of teasing and stroking sensations, and you can get a really good spank without causing any damage. Brilliant!!

The we-vibe looks amazing for couples, is something a bit different and has some great reviews: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=14504

If you're getting some ben-wa type balls as a gift I reccomend these Lelo ones ... they're super luxurious and feel lovely: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=12689

Bondage tape is fun, kinky and versatile (you can use it for bondage or to make naughty latex outfits): http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=12693

Glass dildos look beautiful and feel great and you can experiment with temperature play by putting them in the fridge or warm water: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=11681

Hope this give you some ideas and I hope you have a great trip

I would definitely recommend the we-vibe, I have the original and it's great. The ID flavoured lubes are nice, strawberry & kiwi seems to be the most popular although I like the passion fruit. You could even buy a packet of mini lubes like the durex sensations or the ID lube pack so you can see where the mood takes you. Massage candles or oils are a must! I really like the lovers choice massage creams and also the Earthly Body glow oils. You could buy a massager (I like the Tracey Cox massager ) or a bullet vibe...
