I'm loving Blurry by Puddle Of Mudd at the moment. Also just listening to Ke$ha's album. It's okay bit too... Kiddy for me though. Some catchy tunes though. =)

Hmm, I could probably lose a lot of friends here by commenting on their choices... I can sound like a real snob / prick when I get into music talk, so I'll try not to.

I mostly listen to postrock (Mogwai, Godspeed! You black Emperor, Sigur Ros, 60daysofstatic, Domakesaythink) or alternative rock (Pavement, Broken Social Scene, Death Cab For Cutie, Editors, Neil Young). I also drift into some decent country and blue grass, mainly Bonnie Prince Billy, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. And plenty of room for simpler more fun stuff (System of a Down, Alkaline Trio, Primus and Box Car Racer are ace)

Some nice choices there HS. =D

Weird Al is so funny :)

See i find that you cant be "into" every kind of music, but you can enjoy listening to lots of different types of music, although there is a lot of crap out there

I think you just have one or two main types you like and then other stuff you don't mind. My mains are rock (mostly alternative) and club (mostly electronica) and then I like various other things. =D

I love Weird Al, I've learnt how to rap White & Nerdy, it's soooo much fun to do with friends. =D

When I was a teen it was Deacon Blue and Del Amitri and as I got older it became Stereophonics and David Gray. I still listen to David Gray when I get the chance and love Hospital Food cant explain why but I really like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rarp2Mi6MFY

My taste depends on my mood and I can go through various phases. My main tastes lie in 60s/70s stuff - funk, soul, r&b etc. Also like downtempo, house, electro, early disco, hip hop, film scores - a lot of things really!

Im pretty much a non commercial type girl......obsessed with music.......avid fan of http://www.soundcloud.com ......amazing website for up and coming djs/producers etc...so love all the underground dance etc.

Love the non chart R&B stuff such as d'angelo, maxwell, Joe, Jaheim etc............like all the eclectic mash up stuff such as stuff from the solid steel series on Ninja Tunes........

Dont get me wrong im not totally against more mainstream.....you'll catch me happily screaming along to it all in a pub/club......plus ill happily listen to stuff such as Kings of Leon, The Script, James Morrison etc........

Cant do classical at all........just dont get it...never have done.........im a sucker for huge beats and sexy basslines..........also a huge hip hop lover........old and new stuff such as NWA, Public Enemy, Digital underground, snoop, Jay z etc........

I could go on and on about what i like.........in short.....Total music junkie!!!

i think the best way to describe my music taste is mainstream, i.e. the stuff that makes it into the charts. So its not very good i know but hey its what i like. Although a good bit of rock is always good.

Just listening to Fake Blood - I Think I Like It

But have been listening to death the new Crystal Castles album. It's not the most accesible stuff in the world, but if kinda experimental electronic stuff is your bag then it's amazing. Like the Knife mixed with a Snes, and blended with a punk rock banshee.

I'm terrible with music, never listen to the radio or music telly stations, so I only get to know bands by what friends play or recommend. Usually end up finding a "new" band about ten years after they come out! Going to have to trawl through here for some ideas.

Never really settled on a particular style, stuff I've liked has ranged from rock to pop to dance to country to whatever made-up label folk fancy applying that day. Current favourite is Bitter Ruin, although not as pleased with their latest album as the last: it's great, but I think I fell so in love with Beware and Trust that none of the new stuff can live up to that. Still, would love to see them live, been kicking myself I was broke during this tour (and they won't be playing here again for yonks, boo!).

And yes, I am dodging housework here. ;)

Would appear I've yet to comment on this thread which is strange for me. Anyway I like a lot of acoustic style music, normally just one guy and a guitar singing but I do enjoy a huge range of music. Here are a few of my favourite bands and songs by them to give you an idea.

Good Goo Dolls - Iris http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpO9MSEWpxc

    Howie Day -She Says http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-v9-07Gq9OM

    Joshua Radin - Winter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHlf08yTPiU

    Jose Gonzalez - Heartbeats http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4_4abCWw-w&feature=related

Joseph Arthur - In the Sun http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QotZ7TIaztw

Lisa Gerrard - Now We Are Free http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnPzR1-Dp2c

    Citizen Cope- Sideways http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1w5fa4KSSoc&feature=PlayList&p=F6CEFB835B8BD7E1&index=0&playnext=1

Rufus Wainwright - Hallelujah (cover) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kB67HO8tkQs

    Counting Crows - Colourblind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvpsT_3x5ZY&feature=related

That's a few picks from my collection which will give you a good idea on what style of music I enjoy. I'm also very much a techno fan and regular sit and listen to happy hardcore radio.
