Indeed it is, can not remember of the top of my head what grade she is up to, but she did music as her degree, so as well as the flute she plays the piccolo, sax, and can (her words) make a sound that has a vague resemblance to music on the sheet from a violin, oh and she has sung in various choirs aswell.

Me, I can just about play a bit of root note bass,,, badly!

have to say musicians are sexy, except when they get snobby about other peoples tastes!

Music is one of my great passions. I'm into hard rock really ... I grew up with Deep Purple (musically speaking!) and much ot my parents' depair I never grew out of them. I love all the bands that came out of DP (Gillan, Rainbow, Whitesnake). Along with Alice Cooper (gig of the year last year - wonderful stuff!)Queensryche, and the rather wonderful Thunder (who sadly called it a day last year)

But if it's LOUD with guitar solos I'm there!

But recently I've been getting into modern blues - people like Joanne Shaw Taylor, Tommy Castro, Matt Schofield, Larry Miller, Back Door Slam (I could go on and on ... and on) It's really good uplifting music that always brings a smile to my face.

And a real left field artist I love is Nerina Pallot - a great unknown and underrated singer / songwriter type talent. Put "Real Late Starter into You Tube and you'll get a load of her stuff!

One of the best musical docs I have seen in a long while was on last night. Oil City Confidential: Dr Feelgood. Essex boys with swagger in 'hard bastard' suits. I was oddly aroused for most of it.

Oooh. I loved Fantasia. Wonder if you can get it on DVD.. I remember my mother freaked when I was watching it start to finish one day when I was a young kid and she walked in when the last cartoon thing was on with the big demon devil thing and all the ghosts and demons and skeletons and stuff. I remeber loving it cuz there were all these women demons with their boobs out! Lol! And my mother walked in decided it was very unsuitable for young children! heh.

I've just been having a quick check - I'm surprised how difficult it seems to be finding it - nowhere seems to sell it new. Hmph.

CeX (a new and used store, I adore our one here) sells it for £15 or £28, £34 at Play.com, the same new and used from Amazon (unless you can play the Region 1 American version, perhaps if you have a multi-region DVD player?). That's ridiculous!

This feels like a mission now... Will be back!

p.s. we were playing the VHS here a while ago, and the gothic 'devil-y' bit came on - one of my housemates realised only then that her mother used to stop the film before it got to that bit, because she felt it was unsuitable when they were younger. Until now, aged 21, she didn't know that section existed!

Lostprophets us my favourite no doubt! Seen them live too many times to count on one hand and met all the members at least one time. =D

Evanescence are my second favourite. Amy Lee is a Goddess and an amazing singer!

Any other artists I like just to name some: Avril Lavigne, Calvin Harris, cKy, Coldplay, Eagles Of Death Metal, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Kaiser Chiefs, KT Tunstall, Lily Allen, Limp Bizkit, My Chemical Romance, Oasis, Paramore, Pendulum, Queens Of The Stone Age, Sabrepulse, Saliva, Slipknot, Stone Sour, Taking Back Sunday, The Blackout, The Killers and The Offspring.

Just to name artists who I have more than one album by. =)

His live version of a song called 'Fire' (not 'I'm on fire') is one of the most sexual things I've seen.
