    Thanks for the recent replies.

    In the end we received a long cause of antibiotics, 3 weekly treatments of Relactigel to be taken at monthly intervals and thrush pessaries and pills to be taken as needed. It seemed to have made a difference (we managed two months without anything) but as we approached her period (her first in two months due to birth control: Microgynon 30), like clockwork its back!

    Looking back it seems like it does occur on the last pill of a packet which isn't a pattern we'd noticed until we looked back recently. Time to consider some other options?

    Hormonal changes are common reason for trush, it allways happen to me after hormonal change and stress. If you think its hormonal, I guess you need to see the doctor and try to get some change to see if it helps.
