I am a girl and my boyfriend wants to try anal but I have heard bad stories, like losing anal control and poeple just shit in their pants for a few days afterwards. Or the man pulling out with poopies all over his dick. Or your intestines falling out and that you have to get them stuffed back in. Or bleeding and infections.

Are any of these stories true? Is anal addictive? Is it really better than vaginal?

    Hi Little TeaCup,

While also an anal virgin, I have experimented a bit with fingers (does that still count as virgin? hmm...) and haven't encountered the icky problems mentioned. My suggestion is to ensure you're very clean and relaxed and use plenty of lube!

Many many people enjoy it immensely, while for others it may not be their thing (though I feel the likelihood is for other reasons than intestines falling out), so take it slow and work out what you really enjoy.

Let me know how it goes ;)

Hi and welcome. I would draw you to looking here https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/blog/?q=anal

    4 tips

1 Want to do do it, without this it will never go well

2 Be in charge, what you say goes, he won't be experiencing what you are

3 Warm up, use a butt plug to condition the muscles, you could even use it in foreplay, as in something to be discovered

    4 lube, lube, lube,

Above all be safe. Don't double dip, (Anus to Vagina) without changing protection.

    Hope this helps

    Hello LittleTeaCup,

Please don't listen to these stories. Whilst accidents can happen, I've never heard of people shitting their pants for days afterwards. I don't think I've even heard a story of someone shitting in their pants the day it happens? Most people use the toilet. I'm not sure who is telling you all of this 'information' but it sounds like they are trying to make you think that anal is problematic, dirty or wrong.

This is not the case. Sometimes a guy can pull out with some fecal matter on his penis, but it's not an every time occurrence, or it shouldn't be if the receiver is properly prepared. Having a bowel movement before anal is a good idea and douching is an option if you're worried about cleanliness. Your partner could also wear a condom for further peace of mind, but make sure to remove it and make him rinse his penis before he enters vaginally again. Going from back to front is the primary cause of infections.

Regarding things falling out and needing to be put back in, you're referring to an anal prolapse. It's more common in porn as they seem to rush their bodies into taking something too large too quickly. You're more likely to prolapse from straining too hard when going for a bowel movement, so I wouldn't worry about this at all. I've been having anal for two years and never have my intestines fallen out.

Bleeding can happen if you are too rough as tears can happen, but this can also occur with vaginal sex. It should not happen if you start slowly and use tons of anal lubricant. Lube is an absolute must with anal play and lots of it is recommended. If you think there's enough, add another pump or two to be sure. The anus doesn't self lubricate so this is particularly important.

I do anal maybe two to three times a week with breaks in between each session and I properly warm up beforehand and have never had a problem. If you want some advice on how to prepare safely for anal sex please let us know and we can point you in the right direction. It doesn't happen by just going straight in with his penis, there's a lot of time needed to build up with fingers and toys first.

Hope this eased some of your concerns!

Where did you hear those stories ?! Never heard anything so silly lol

Poo on his penis is a reality however there is a quick fix solution: anal douches. I love anal sex and anal douche every time pre anal.

how to use anal douches here - https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/sex/buyers-guide/how-to-use-an-anal-douche/

anal douches available here - https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/sex-toys/anal-sex-toys/douches-enemas/

anal is addictive yes and I do crave it. In my opinion no, it is not better than vaginal sex, for the pure reason being that the Gspot is in the vagina lol. However, when I am riding anal (on top), I can achieve orgasm as I can feel the penis rubbing on my Gspot through anal.

If you're new to anal I suggest dabbling in some beginner anal toys such as butt plugs, found here

also invest in anal particular lube too - https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/sex/lubricants/anal-lubes/

    Good luck!

We've only just started in this area, I have had him analy but it hurt...basically we were rushing it so have started slowly with toys and it feels amazing... A really full feeling that is quite addictive!!

Keep it clean, really lubed up and shouldn't be any problems.

My husband is long and thick is I'm prepping with 3-5inch circ toys starting with the basics anal beads, basics plug, and I've just ordered some bigger plugs.

Take your time and start slow..enjoy 🙌

Anal can be addictive the stories you have heard are silly and wrong if carried out carefully can lead to some really intense sex sessions but you have to take your time and build up to penetration. Using a douche beforehand is a sound suggestion which I always do,it's nice to know your clean before you start. You can never use to much lube so invest in some that is for anal use as there generally a bit thicker which is good as you don't self lubricate up your anal track. Take your time and try if your both in agreement and feel ready enjoy

Hi, you have already had some good replys so I'll try not to be too repetive.

You said that your boyfriend wants to try anal but have not stated that you do, I assume that you do or are at least considering it because you're asking questions but your wanting to is very important. If you don't want to then it is not going to end well and you should not do it if you do not want to.

I have not heard of anyone defecating in their underwear, usually people know when they need the loo. I guess that you may have heard or think this because to have anal, you need to "loosen up" (relax) the muscles but they do tighten back up; hence how you keep a butt plug in.

Fecal matter on the penis does sometimes occur, it is the rectal passage after all so in a way is to be expected. If you have not had a bowel movement recently before anal then it is likely to get messy. A condom is a great idea if you are worried or you could try douching. There are lots of threads and guides about douching if you do a quick forum search so I won't get in to that but douching (as with anal) is not for everyone and douching too often can cause problems itself; also, douching is not necessary and lots of people happily have anal without it.

In regards to intestines, bleeding and infections, I have to +1 to what NatandTom said as it is spot on and I can't really add anything.

Is anal addictive and is it better than vaginal? That really is down to the individual.

Communication is key as is lube! Take things slow and listen to your body; if it hurts, stop. Don't double dip and just be safe and happy exploring something new. Hope this helps.
