It depends on the neighbours really.
Quite often it really turns me on hearing other people, and my imagination can end up going in to overdrive.
But sometimes you have a neighbour who you REALLY don't want images of.

I had a very loud neighbour back in the day, let's just say we didn't just know she was having sex we also new exactly how close she was to the grand finale the entire time. The only blessing was they were both quick to finish. Massive turn off, very annoying! The thought of someone hearing us to that extent makes me cringe. Glad we no longer have neighbours haha!

It's a bit of both for me, I've had some not unattractive female neighbours who shall we say have been vocal which has been a turn on and a case of the really, again? Probably jealous lol.

On the other hand growing up next to a family and the kids who were teens when they (the family) moved in are now in their 20s and "active" was a little weirder!

Love this thread, still stay away with work a fair bit, still listening out for other people enjoying their time in hotels... Detached house, never hear our neighbours...

Everywhere I've lived and this has happened, I've found it to be a massive turn off. I don't mind though. I would rather hear my neighbours sh*gging than shouting.

I only have one neighbour and she's an 80+ lady who lives alone. ........not very likely I'd hear her having sex !! I can hear her switch off her bedroom light and draw her curtains though .....

She can definitely hear us having sex, I'm incredibly loud, I just cant help it 😱 She's never mentioned it though .....xx

Would be an interesting conversation! Are you loud all the way through Terri?? Maybe she doesn't hear you if she's elderly?!😜

I think it depends on the situation. I hated it at our last flat as the neighbours bedroom was next to the boys room. Luckily he wasn't in a relationship so it was few and far between. I quite like the thought of hearing others going for it. I daren't think what the neighbours think of us due to the arguments we have been having these last 7 months or so added to the fact I'm not in the slightest bit quiet and we sometimes end up having make up sex so there's not much time between arguing and having sex.

Where you husband is based he has a little old dear in the block below him. She's such a delicate little thing, has that real granny look about her. When her boyfriend visits they are at it like rabbits. So so so loud. We shift rooms or go out to give them privacy. So it's not a turn off or a turbo just a case of "I hope I have that energy at her age!"

My wife and I find it a turn on when we hear our neighbours going at it. Which funnily enough is usually after we have got in bed and started playing. So not sure if our noises start them off or it's just a coincidence.

    Just to be Devils Advocate.

Are you bothered about them hearing you and what they think of that ?
