How to Rock the Underwear as Outerwear Trend
on 13 Jul 2018
Ever rifled through your lingerie collection and found yourself thinking - it's a shame the whole world doesn't get to see my favourite bra?
Yep, us too.
Underwear as outerwear is a huge trend at the moment, with bra/top hybrids everywhere you look.
Not all of us have the guts to rock a wet look basque while doing the weekly shop, but you can easily work lingerie into your daytime look.
We're taking our cues from plus model, blogger and Insta-famous Em of the_em_edit who looks ah-mazing in our Parisienne chemise and pencil skirt combo.
Here are a few more ideas to inspire you - let us know how you wear yours in the comments below!
Good jeans
Thanks to Samantha Winter (find her at @swinn21 on Insta), we're rocking our Parisienne chemises with our jeans, too.
Like a long top and a bra in one, a chemise with underwired cups takes the faff out of finding the right bra for your outfit, and the figure-hugging fabric tucks perfectly into high-waisted jeans or a midi skirt.
You can get a similar look with a body - but make sure you get one with poppers to the crotch, or you'll have to take off ALL your clothes when you go to the loo.

Kimo-no need for a coat
A sexy summer alternative to a coat or cardigan, your Lovehoney lace robe makes a cute boho-style cover-up.
Contrast is key with this look - wear your robe with anything too loose and baggy and you'll end up swamped in fabric, especially if you're petite.
Instead, wrap it over a camisole and skinny jeans, or pair with a bodycon dress.

Sneak peak
Want to flaunt your favourite bra without baring all?
Going braless with a backless dress is obviously an option, but if you want a litte bit of support, bras, bralettes and bodies with eye-catching rear detail have got your back.
Dreamgirl's Red Bralette has an amazing lacy double-strap back, while Lovehoney's Parisienne Plunge Longline Bra has a delicate lace back that demands to be seen.

Strap happy
Harness bras are here to sex up your most sensible outfit.
Going out after work? Unless you're heading to a fetish club, you'll want to keep this look subtle - think a glimpse of an O-ring, between-the-boobs strap or choker.
Slip a harness bralette in your bag, and give that little black dress or baggy top instant edge.
Or, wear it over a plain t-shirt for a subtle nod to fetish fashion.
