A common complaint in customer reviews is that a vibrator just didn’t cut it for them power wise. Everyone is unique, as are their sexy parts, and a sex toy that’s too strong for one person is too weak for another.
No matter how hard sex toy makers have tried, they just don’t seem to manage to pleasure everyone with their powerful vibrators. Dissatisfied sad face.
If you’re a power-hungry lover that’s looking for more va-va-voom from your vibe then you’ll love this week's Awesome Power Tool… I mean Sex Toy. Rock Box (£99.99) is quite probably the world’s most powerful vibrator and the good news is that it’s equal parts sexy fun times for him and for her.
I know what you’re thinking. Surely this thing is going to shear my lady garden to pieces or batter my man rod…
At 6:45am on Saturday, Alice, Gemma and I were bleary eyed and loading ourselves and several cases into a car for a trip to Bristol. We’re not usually awake at that hour or working at the weekend but we made a special exception for Eroticon 2012, the first erotic conference aimed at writers, reviewers and sex bloggers.
Held in central Bristol, Eroticon 2012 was jam-packed with speakers and delegates from all walks of life, each with their own take on erotica and ideas about how to transform their passion into a career. Photographers, sex toy reviewers, erotic authors, performers, publishers and bloggers convened on both sides of the stage to impart knowledge and share experiences to help delegates hone their skills and spark their imagination in a series of thoughtful seminars.
As sponsors and dedicated sex toy enthusiasts, we brought along a selection of toys and treats to share with delegates and spent our time chatting to attendees, allowing them to get hands-on with some of our favourite products. Unfortunately this meant that we missed almost all of the talks and demonstrations but we had a great time mingling with delegates and speakers and we definitely enjoyed electrocuting them all with the Neon Wand. Bzzt!

We brought along two tables filled with fun including Rock Box, the Bedroom Kandi Music-Activated Vibrator, Minna Ola, Sqweel and of course… Baconlube. Our table was rarely quiet and by the end of the day the batteries were running low, the Sliquid lubes were half consumed and our contact book was bulging full with email addresses of future reviewers. We really loved the friendly, vibrant atmosphere and the open attitude everyone had with us and one another. Thank you to everyone who took the time to chat with us…

Review of the Month
Our winning review this month gives a brilliant account of a beginner's electro sex toy, describing all the various positives and negatives of experimenting with electro sex and plumping for the all-in-one Mystim kit.
We felt this review mixed the facts with personal experience in just the right way, giving readers the confidence to try something a little out of the ordinary.
"With one electrode on my wrist and the other on my bicep I experienced involuntary muscle contraction which I struggled to resist at around the 8/9 out of 11 mark on the intensity dial. That was very interesting to test, and the feeling of complete helplessness was exciting.
Sensation-wise, the product is excellent. Electro-sex is exciting, fun and diverse. You can cause intense pleasure or delicious pain with great ease. If you like either this is a product worth getting without a doubt."
February is already over, this year is flying by! It looks like our Lovehoney Community Members had a great Valentine’s Day as we’ve been overwhelmed by the number of photos uploaded this month. Thank you to everyone who shared their sexy gifts with a photo or two, we’ve really enjoyed looking through them.
It was another tough month as the quality of entries was just so good. In the end we chose this stunning image by luv_bunny as our Model of the Month winner. Her clever posing maintains anonymity but also showcases those sexy Seduce Thigh High Boots. Beautifully framed with a gorgeous high-contrast colouring, we think this photo is both demure and alluring and we’d like to congratulate you with £100 to spend on Lovehoney.
There were lots of other photos that got us excited this month so we’ve chosen FIVE runners up who each receive 2,000 Oh! points to put towards their Oh! points purchases.
Magic Wand Vibrators have made their mark as a sex toy legend even though they were never actually designed to be clenched between your thighs.
Those who were around to see the beginning of the Magic Wand phenomena may have been a pioneer in bringing it to bedsides around the globe. Those who caught the trend early on were looking for a soothing solution to their niggling back troubles but soon discovered that their deep-tissue back massager could do a whole lot more for women than it originally let on.
What started off as Mummy’s little secret became an almost cult reference in television programmes and magazines. Suddenly Magic Wand vibrators were depicted with a cheeky smile and a wink in the eye and those who hadn’t experimented soon clocked on. Thus the Magic Wand vibe, with all its deep rumbling power, became the sex toy of choice for secret solo play.
In the UK we had a bit of a hurdle to leap as it took a while for Magic Wands to be adapted to match our voltage output. The US models were blowing up in our sockets and there was nothing to bridge the gap, but thankfully things have changed and it’s now possible for us to have our pick from a wide range of Magic Wand massagers. The original 2-speed model has been left for dust as bigger, better models like the Lovehoney Mains Powered Classic Magic Wand Vibrator were developed with multiple speed settings and *gulp* even more power…
Monday mornings aren’t often seen as the most exciting week but, for me, today was the last Monday before Eroticon 2012, which makes it very exciting!
I came up with the idea for Eroticon in May 2011 and ten months later I’ll see all my hard work come alive on Saturday as I open the doors to the UK’s first conference for sex bloggers and erotica writers and I couldn’t be more excited.
I’m excited to meet the speakers, some that I’ve never met before or only conversed with over email and many of whom I admire or inspire me in some way and some I’m just plain intrigued by. I’m excited to meet bloggers and writers that I’ve read and only met on social media as well as those delegates who I have never met and know nothing off.
I’m curious to find out just who comes to a sex blogger and erotica writers’ conference!
I’m excited to meet our sponsors, not just the friendly and generous Lovehoney and Coco de Mer staff but also the publishers and to discuss with them some of the big issues facing erotica and publishing at the moment; censorship, self-publishing, content and of course the big question “Where next for erotica?”
I’m excited to meet old friends, some of whom are coming from overseas, that have supported me over the last couple of years, friendships that pre-date Eroticon but will be strengthened there. I’m excited to see what happens, for all the planning and work that I’ve done, and that’s a lot, it isn’t down to me anymore, it is down to you, the people that are as excited as me about it to take it forward and bring it to life.
I’m excited to see you learning, making networks and moving forward your writing. And if all the things that excite me don’t excite you, well that’s what Lovehoney are there for, because I know they’ll have plenty of things designed to excite you!

It’s a challenge for sex toy manufacturers to come up with an innovative idea that sets it apart from its competitors in the fierce sex toy market.
Luxury sex toy manufacturers are challenged with providing bigger, better things than those in the middle range and therefore their toys tend to come under much closer scrutiny, meaning they’ll often either sail or fail.
It’s always great to be able to report that a sex toy has lived up to the hype and this week's Awesome Sex Toy has certainly proven itself.
The Minna Ola Programmable Vibe (£119.99) is the first programmable luxury vibrator. It has the now-standard uniform of a waterproof silicone finish and rechargeable battery built in, but it also has functioning tech that differentiates it from other luxury vibrators in the market and allows you to create a totally personalised experience.
