Here at Lovehoney, we love the number ten. In fact, it's probably our favourite number.
For one thing, we've just celebrated our 10th birthday. We had a big party here at Lovehoney HQ in June to celebrate a whole decade of promoting sexual happiness.
We love ten so much, it even plays a big part in our products. For example, Lovehoney's revolutionary oral sex simulator, the Sqweel 2, has ten silicone tongues. That's ten times the pleasure.
Likewise, the Lovehoney Remote Control Egg Vibrator has a grand total of ten vibrating functions to leave you a happy bunny, much like our top-rated 10 Speed Dream Bullet Vibrator.
So with that in mind, our weekly round up of sex news is brought to you by the number ten!
I’ve written five sex education DVDs for the Lovers’ Guide, had 25 books about sex published internationally and founded the UK’s original erotica site for women, Cliterati.
As you might expect, I get asked a lot of questions about sex. A lot.
And by far the most common answer is, “communicate.” However, the word alone does not suffice.
Knowing how to communicate is far more complex than simply opening your mouth and letting words come out.

So often, we call these small, hand-sized vibrators 'pebble vibrators' but in this week's Toy with me Tuesday, we decided to prove it with the MiMi by Je Joue.
Your breath coming in short gasps, sweat running over your bare skin, your heart beating out of your chest as you urge yourself to go faster and faster…
Yep, this week we’ve been thinking about exercise (hey, what were YOU thinking of?). What with the Olympics and Paralympics done and dusted, here at the Lovehoney HQ we sense that the passion for fitness has died down somewhat.
Introducing, the Sexolympics! It may not have corporate sponsorship, a big venue in London or thousands of world class athletes, but it can be done from the comfort of your own home. So limber up and do your stretches, your training regime is about the begin.
This week we’ve been researching the link between fitness and sex to bring you the ultimate incentives to step your sex life up a gear. After all, burning 300 calories has never been more fun - and you don’t even need trainers.
In the Lovehoney offices today we’re discussing a new product soon to enter the market - an anal lubricant hilariously titled WET Uranus. Immediately this begs the question: what planet are they on?
Describing it as “the latest leap for mankind”, WET Uranus' creators WET Lubricants have strived to achieve intergalactic quality for their most recent lubricant adventure.
The best thing about this product is that it made us laugh, which is important when approaching often-taboo subjects such as anal sex. Laughter is a great way to open up with your partner, which could make it easier for couples to talk about buying specialist lubes designed for the rear. As many of us know, the anus doesn't produce any natural lubrication. You really can't be too generous!
How do you feel about companies using humour to sell sex products? Do witty one-liners encourage you to buy a product? Or does a cheeky name or silly packaging turn you off?
Whether you'll be queuing up for some Wet Uranus or it's just too tongue-in-cheek for your liking, leave us a comment and let us know what you think of WET's latest venture.
It’s Sexual Health Week, and in celebration of the nation enjoying fabulous, sensual and safe sex we’re giving away packs of Playboy Condoms.
New and exclusive online to Lovehoney, Playboy have launched a range of condoms in four different styles. Available in Ultra Thin, Pleasure, Ultra Safe and Strawberry, there’s a Playboy condom to suit your needs.
Featuring Playboy’s iconic bunny logo, the packaging is attractive, chic and sophisticated for those who believe safe doesn’t have to be boring.
Don’t just take our word for it - this is what two of our community members had to say:
"They are very elegantly packaged and thanks to the Playboy logo and overall design, have a sexier look than other condom brands." - cabo8891
"The packaging is classy and wouldn't look tacky or out of place sitting on the bedside cabinet as opposed to being relegated to a drawer. I wouldn't be embarrassed if one fell out of my purse, they really are that cool." - KinkyKiki
If you fancy getting your hands on a pack of Playboy condoms, keep an eye on Lovehoney’s twitter feed, where all week long we will be tweeting about sexual health. For your chance to win, simply retweet our competition mentions and you’ll automatically be entered into the prize draw. Good luck!
The world's gone crazy for jiggle balls, but we reckon everyone should be investing in a pair of Bottle Balls to really get the party going (seriously, check out the reviews - they have to be played with to be believed).
After the party's over, just leave them dangling around as a reminder to CHECK YOUR BALLS.
Here at Lovehoney we take vibrators very seriously, so we’re understandably very excited about the release of “Hysteria” on Friday 21st September. We feel like we've been waiting an eternity for this film to come out in the UK and it's finally here!
Check out our List of Cinemas Showing 'Hysteria'.
Set in London in the early 1880s, this film takes place at a time when women were being treated for female 'hysteria' by receiving a pelvic massage from their doctors until their symptoms were relieved - that’s right, women had to go to the doctor to have an orgasm!
Starring Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hugh Dancy, this movie follows the Dr. Mortimer Granville, who develops quite a fanbase due to his great talent for… massage. However, he soon realises that his hands can’t cope with the demand, so he invents a device that women can use in their own home - the earliest vibrator.
Read on for a brief history of hysteria and vibrators, and some more shocking historical tit bits…
Usually our ideas for Toy with me Tuesday start with the sex toy - but this time around it started with this old phone. Surely there was a toy that could replace the receiver?
I tried the njoy Pure Wand, but it was too heavy and slid off. I tried the Lelo Smart Wand Medium but it was too short. Then finally, in a Goldilocks moment, I tried the Lelo Smart Wand Large and it was perfect!
It’s that time of the week again! Welcome to Lovehoney’s weekly round up of the best sex-related news on the web.
