It isn't often that I hear from the Real Workers at Lovehoney about what products they use at home, but when I get an email from Ruth the Magnificant saying:
"Ooh, if you're looking for products to blog about, the Dinky Pink Bullet is stunning. Yes I've tried one, yes I love it - and no, I'm not surprised that everyone else loves it too. They should give these out with National Insurance Cards!"
…I figure I should pay attention. I've never been a huge fan of bullets - what can I say, I do think size matters - but when I read reviews that claim that this one packs a big boy's punch, I might just have to change my mind. Seven reviews and five stars? Holy gamoley, people are loving this dinky little mighty mouse:
If you need another fix of Sex And The City before the Sex And The City Movie hits out cinema screens, treat yourself to a spin round some of the excellent Sex And The City TV series Web sites. We've rounded up 5 of the best, including the official HBO site for the series which is enough to bring a tear to the eye as you fondly remember those ridiculously puffy skirts and stupidly impractical shoes.
HBO: Sex And The City
HBO's official Sex And The City web site has detailed episode guides, fashion information, a merchandise store, character guides, trivia quizzes, screensavers and a forum where you can discuss Sex An The City characters, fashion and fvourite moments. But what's this in the home page's Meta Description: "The homepage for HBO's Sex in the City official website." "Sex IN the City"! They can't even get the name of their own programme right!
Sex And The City Quickies
More than just a great guide to the series, this is an excellent site that goes under the duvet with the Sex And The City girls to bring you love lessons from each episode of Sex And The City. Add quotes, games and an entertaining series of animated shorts, and you've got one of the best Sex And The City sites on the Web. Don't forget to take the quiz to find out which man from Sex And The City would be your best match.
Does the idea of strapping on a dildo - or having your partner strap one on - make your heart go pitter-pat? That isn't so unusual, considering the number of times columns on pegging get viewed as soon as they show up on discussion forums.
Over on the Orgasm Army forums, there is a discussion going on giving advice on how to talk a reluctant partner round the issue of strap-ons and pegging. If your partner is completely against anal play, or okay with anal, but not with pegging, you might find some helpful tips over there. It is always good to get the perspectives of people who have tried something or have reasons to not try something, so you can be clear with yourself and your partner what you want to try and don't want to attempt.
From the boards:
If you're a fan of anal play, you gotta love the look of this one. This ranks somewhere between "Delicious Challenge" and "Um… I don't think that that is going to work" on the do-able scale, but I'm thinking that more than a couple of you are going to like trying to step up to the plate.
This bad boy is fully insertable to 11 inches (with half an inch outside for safe playing) and has a diameter of 3.8 inches at its widest. I didn't mistype that - 3.8 inches.
It's a skin-safe rubber, so it has a bit of flex to it, and comes complete with suction base for solo-playing. I'm loving the reviews, though, as it has managed a very satisfying 5 stars over eight reviews.
So clearly, there are some of you out there who are ready for more serious action - and that would be both men and women.
From the ladies:
I'm sure that hardened Sex And The City followers will already know this, but it was news to us - it turns out that Mr Big has a name.
It's John James Preston.
It was only in the last episode of the Sex And The City TV series that viewers found out that Mr Big had a first name, so it's something of a shock to discover that not only has he got a surname, he's got a middle name in between as well.
We're not sure what bearing this information is going to have on Carrie's relationship with Mr Big - or the big part of him. And whether she'll be consigning her Sex And The City Rabbit Vibrator to the attic because Mr Big is providing for all her needs.
Somehow, we doubt it…
What's the most interesting part…
1. Reading about what US comedy website Cracked considers to be the 25 Most Disturbing Sex Toys
2. Seeing how many of them are sold at Lovehoney
3. Realizing how many of them I actually own?
I don't know, perhaps I've just gotten jaded, but I don't see how a vibrating tongue can be disturbing - but then I spend most of my time pondering what they can do with such a toy to make it more tongue-like, so perhaps I have the wrong mind-set. I will say, though, that at least a few of the toys listed in their article are highly rated, like the I Rub My Duckie vibrator.
I'm not sure where one can go about buying the Orca dildo, but perhaps if you dropped the buyers at Lovehoney an email…? I won't tell. However, if you saw something on the list that caught your eye, here is where you can find some of the Lovehoney equivalents:
Lovehoney Head Buyer and star of Sex Toys TV, Bonny Hall, has recently been interviewed by retail careers and recruitment magazine, The Appointment, for its Careers Centre section.
The interviewer's eyes were the size of saucers when he was given a tour of our magnificent warehouse full of choice goodies.
You can read the full interview here.
Just when I thought I would sneak off Lovehoney without needing to buy anything, I stumble across this gorgeous little guy hiding out in the New Vibes section.
I just can't say no to something that looks to be an improvement on classic vibes, and this definitely looks to be.
ToyJoy is one of the best companies out there and you always know you're going to get quality toys with them, so half the sales pitch is done for me before I even look at the features - but even if it wasn't, just look at him!
Two probes in addition to the main shaft mean you're getting vibrations everywhere you're going to want them, it's submersible (great for those of us who like to disappear into a Lush bath for an hour or a week), and the colours are so gorgeous I'm thinking it will have to be left out for everyone to see.
One review has already come in and it looks like a winner:
It's a great colour, orange but with a hint of pink through it and it looks fab. It's perfectly shaped to hit all the spots at once, easy push button on the base with four different functions (continuous buzz, fast on/off buzz, slow on/off buzz and buzzes in threes.) Great!!! It's waterproof (added bonus) and pretty quiet! The clit stimulator hits the right spot and the anal probe can be inserted or left ] so it just tickles the end. The vibe can also be switched around and I found the vaginal bit was also great for anal!! Really soft material, well made, but just the right amount of firmness! Only takes two batteries too! Pretty easy to clean as well! This is recommended!
If you were wanting to add a little Easter treat to your basket, this might be the one for you. I know I'm going to go and add it to my wish list now.
