New York Fashion Week Special: How to Style Your Lingerie Like the Celebs
on 21 Sep 2016
When September arrives, all fashionistas eagerly turn their eyes to the US as the biggest event in the style calendar approaches: New York Fashion Week.
Over seven days, the world’s most foremost designers showcase the styles that will dominate the shops for the upcoming seasons, both in the boutiques and on the high street.
While sex appeal never goes out of style, it’s always interesting to see how the catwalk trends will trickle down into both everyday clothing and lingerie trends.
With this in mind, we’ve taken a look at the top six styles that were all over the runways in NYC last week, and picked out our favourite Lovehoney lingerie that match the trends to keep your curves ahead of the curve.

The Biggest NYFW Lingerie Trends
Very much the shade du jour, shocking pink screamed from the vibrant collections of J. Crew, Alexander Wang, and Michael Kors.
The floofier the better seemed to be the name of the game among fashion's great and good, with oodles of ruffles showing up at 3.1 Phillip Lim, Tome, and Zimmerman, among many others.
Ruffles are the ideal way of adding volume when you want to make an area of your body appear larger, so bump up that booty with some ruffle-back briefs, or create a Kardashian-esque cleavage with a frilled bra.
The massive crop top trend that swept the summer looks set to continue, with exposed midriffs featuring in shows for Milly, Altuzarra, and even Alexander Wang.
Every new season brings a new metallic shade, and this week, the catwalk was awash with style-stealing silver from the likes of Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, and Narciso Rodriguez.
From fluffy towelling numbers at the Lacoste show to slinky 1930s-inspired gowns by Jonathan Simkhai, high-end loungewear was hard to miss at NYFW.
Rag & Bone, Claudia Li, and Adam Selman were among the many designers dazzling the catwalk with sleek stripes in a range of colours last week.
Just as ruffles are great for adding volume, pinstripes are a must for lengthening the look of your body and slimming your shape, particularly if you're petite. Work the trend in a fashionably-striped sexy secretary costume for on-trend role play.
