Cuffing season can be a strange time of year in the dating world. As the nights get progressively darker and the cold creeps in, many singletons seek winter romances for these colder months. But how does one’s astrological sign affect their desires for love - and more - during the winter?
With cuffing season in full swing, online sex toy and lingerie retailer Lovehoney has partnered with expert astrologist Francesca Oddie to reveal how each star sign is likely to cope during this time of year.
Scorpios are the most keen on getting cuffed this winter
Our survey found Scorpios are the most keen on finding love this winter with 83% preferring to be in a relationship during cuffing season. On the other hand, results showed that Sagittarius is the star sign happiest to remain single during the winter, and this is somewhat unsurprising as Sagittarius is a freedom loving sign who prefers to keep their options open.

Expert astrologist Francesca Oddie reveals how each star sign is likely to cope this cuffing season.
Aries (March 21st- April 19th)
Aries is ruled by Mars, the god most associated with sex and passion and seizing the moment. So if an Aries sees something they like this cuffing season they are likely to go for it.
Taurus (April 20th- May 20th)
Taurus is ruled by Venus, and a star sign that craves company, comfort and to get cozy during winter. These qualities make Taurus the sign most aligned with wanting to settle down and participate in cuffing season.
Gemini (May 21st- June 20th)
Gemini’s often want to keep their options open and are therefore the star sign least likely to take part in cuffing season. Geminis are social butterflies and often love their freedom, meaning they are likely to refrain from settling down this winter.
Cancer (June 21st- July 22nd)
Cancer is a sign keen to settle down this cuffing season. Cancers will be on the hunt for a winter romance to share the festive season with, whether that's exploring a Christmas market or snuggling up to watch their favourite Christmas movie.
Leo (July 23rd- August 22nd)
Leos will be on the lookout for a partner to bring along to all of their parties. Leos will be keen to find a partner that matches their qualities and brings out the best in them, therefore Leos will not settle down for just anyone this cuffing season.
Virgo (August 23rd- September 22nd)
As an earth sign, Virgos will also be on the hunt for someone to cuff this winter as earth signs will be the most inclined to participate in this newfound season. Virgos will be looking to enjoy spending time at home and getting cosy with someone they love.
Libra (September 23rd- October 22nd)
Libra is the sign of partnership, Libras never truly want to be single meaning ‘cuffing season’ does not particularly apply to them as they look to be coupled up all year round.
Scorpio (October 23rd- November 22nd)
Partnerships are big on the radar for Scorpios this time of year. Scorpios will be analysing what is right for them during this time which could even lead to something more serious if they find the perfect match.
Sagittarius (November 23rd- December 21st)
Sagittarius is arguably the most freedom-loving sign of the zodiac. They will be inclined to run free during cuffing season along with Geminis.
Capricorn (December 22nd- January 19th)
With Venus in Capricorn the love planet for 4 months and due to retrograde on 19th December, Capricorns will likely be looking for love and reconsidering romantic relationships.
Aquarius (January 20th- February 18th)
Aquarius loves freedom and independence. Although a committed relationship could be on the horizon, Aquarius are often very happy alone or surrounded by friends and family.
Pisces (February 19th- March 20th)
Pisces is a very romantic sign who loves partnership. However, Pisces can often get lost in romantic ideals, when Venus goes retrograde on 19th December Pisces need to remember to listen to friends' advice as they may fall for something less than perfect.
