1. 6 Sexy Ways to Cool Down in the Heat

After weeks of typical British summer weather (*ahem*) we finally have some sunshine.

Rather than pouncing on our partners though, this humid weather leavers a lot of us feeling sticky and wanting our own space. Not so good for sexual happiness.

If you find yourself melting in the heat, here are six ways to stay cool in the bedroom while still getting hot, hot, hot.

    1. Make lube cubes

Sliquid Swirl Blue Raspberry Flavoured Lubricant 125ml

Turn your lover into a delicious ice lolly by making some flavoured lube cubes.

Any water-based flavoured lube will freeze really well, just fill your tray up as you would normally with water. We suggest picking up a cheap silicone ice cube tray - they're bendy so will make popping out the cubes easier, and you won't end up putting lube in your Pimm's by mistake.

When you're ready to play, just trace it down your partner's body and lick, lick, lick!

    2. Turn your bedroom into a water park

    Sexy Shiny King Size Sheet

Summer is all about getting wet 'n' wild and having loads of fun (think water fights). Why not bring some of that slippery slidey fun into the bedroom?

Lay down a PVC sheet, add lashings of lube or massage oil and get playing! Our reviewers say that playing on PVC sheets can leave them shivering in the winter, so it's the pefect way to keep cool and stay close in the summer.

Slippery sheets to fit all bed sizes can be found in our sex furniture section - and don't forget to load up on the massage oil too.

    3. Cool down your glass toys

The great thing about glass sex toys is that they can be easily cooled down for a delicious sensory shiver. Try using a cooled glass dildo as a massage wand all over the body, then move into south into smooth, cool play. Just pop it in the fridge a couple of hours before you want to use it and it'll be chilled and ready to play.

Annabelle shows you how to do it:

    4. Make an ice dildo

Love Light Glow In The Dark Condoms (3 Pack)

Sounds crazy, but give it a go. First, pick up some cheap condoms (we love the look of the glow in the dark ones to add an extra fun dimension). Fill with water, tie a knot in the end and pop it into the freezer on a plate to stop it sticking to anything: this video will show you exactly how. When it's frozen, let the ice dildo fun begin.

Condoms are super strong and stretchy so the water expanding as it freezes won't matter and as some condoms will take anything up to 30 litres of water (!) you can make it as slim or as girthy as you like.

    5. Take a cold shower… with toys!

    Lovehoney Splash Waterproof Rabbit Vibrator

Cold shower? Usually the complete opposite of sexy, but when it's 30 degrees in the shade, a cold shower is the perfect place to get fresh.

Explore our waterproof vibrators section, where everything splash-friendly lives. Don't forget to check out our special sex in the bathroom category too, which has position enhancers to help with sex in the shower. Add a slick of silicone lube as well - water-based will just wash away in the shower.

    6. Try a cooling balm or lube

Durex Play Tingle Personal Lubricant 50ml

Hot all over, but with a cooling tingle on your clitoris. Sound good?

Get your partner to apply a little cooling lube like Durex Play TIngle, or the minty Bombshell Balm to your sensitive spots. Ask them to blow gently, and you'll get a freezing cold tingle that will give you shivers in all the right places.

      Ooh, love these ideas.

I'll definitely try the cooling the glass dildo idea but as for the ice (condom) dildo... Sounds a bit too cold! Might try it out if I'm totally baking though.

I didn't know you can make ice cubes with lube.. That sounds really interesting,..

Love the idea of the cubes! And right about the PVC sheets they are cold in winter so will be perfect for cooling down, for a little while at least ;)
