Win friends and impress people with an erotic book

According to a recent survey of 5000 women by play.com, books maketh the man. Or, at least, when asked which book would encourage them to chat up a reader on the tube, the polled women were most likely to be impressed by Romeo and Juliet, suggesting a romantic lover, and Benjamin Graham's The Intelligent Investor, which indicates that the reader has lots of money (no surprises there, then).

Other high-fliers included Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist, which indicates a 'sensitive' lover (or perhaps one keen to mistake new age drivel for genuine spiritual nourishment) and Andy McNab's Bravo Two Zero, which demonstrates that the reader's a 'real man'.

Something for everyone, then. If however you'd like to show the ladies that you're the kind of guy who knows when to pull out a set of anal beads, you're probably better off holding a copy of Penny Birch's Naughty Naughty.
