There is a lot of hype on the internet about the We-Vibe and it was certainly one of the ones I was excited about opening. It has posh packaging, which you would expect from the more upmarket vibes. It's rechargeable, which is great so you're not relying on batteries. It looks very futuristic and on first glance I wasn't sure what on earth to do with it.

However, with a quick read of the instructions I was away - there are also some great videos on the LoveHoney site. The unique selling point of the vibe is that it can be worn during sex, so it is a couple's toy but you can wear it on your own. It comes in a cute case, so no worries about leaving it out either!

The different functions might be confusing if you want a man to use it! But for such a small thing it was quite powerful. Comes with a classy satin pouch to store it in too.

This is the most expensive toy on the shortlist this year and it certainly looked expensive when it arrived. It was definitely one of the ones which I saved until the end to enjoy. The packaging is very luxurious and I find the concept that it learns which movements you like absolutely fascinating! It replicates the feeling of oral sex so the vibrations are much softer. Like many of the toys at the top end of the market you do need to have a brief flick through the instructions before use. It comes with different plug socket adapters so that you can take it on holiday with you. It has a 'learning' and 'favourites' mode, which I found fascinating! I think for originality - this one was a winner for me!

It takes two small watch batteries so you may have to stock up if you plan to use it a lot! I tested this in the comfort of my hotel room and can confirm it is definitely quiet enough!

This is a really fun finger vibe with three to collect. It's small and waterproof so it could be used in the bath/shower. The jelly covering is very tactile but meant that the vibrations weren't very strong. The ring is made of jelly and it can be hard to control/direct the ring. It's only got one setting, so it's not confusing, just pick up and go! This toy looked really good but in practice, didn't feel that great.
