Great for beginners like us

I bought this so we could learn about more about bondage and the like as it's a new subject area for the both of us. Due to its cheap price I went for this.

It's an average size book (for sex guides) at 120 pages and covers a lot of topics, but most of them in a very brief format. It's more a dictionary of bondage in places. There is a lot to it though, but that does go against it a little bit as due to small text and lack of photos or diagrams can be a bit uninviting to read. I like my sex guides to have some diagrams and photos to see a clear idea of what is being talked about.

Overall, I would recommend it as a beginners guide as it was informative and interesting, but there are probably a lot more interesting versions of the theme out there.

The book is great if you want some ideas on how to dominate your man! It is written on the assumption that you have no prior domination experiences, so it's easy to get in to.

There are "fictional" accounts of some of the points made to help illustrate them which are fun to read! The excerpts and personal accounts at the end aren't all that great, but they're a good insight as to what others out there are into!

Some pictures would have been nice, however! The only pictures are on the front and back covers.

So to summarise, although the book isn't perfect it's well worth a read!

I demand MORE!

This is a paperback with no pictures aside from the lovely front cover.

The book is split into 3 major sections:

Introduction

A section about sexuality, the history of SM and what SM can entail. This is quite interesting, easy to read and makes you want to continue reading.

I want to be your slave!

A section about setting the mood, costume, furniture, techniques, implements and toys you might use, including some safety concerns. The part on implements and toys is really quite comprehensive and even includes some extracts from other books (fiction and non-fiction) that relate to the various toys. I think this has been done really well. What could have been a repetitive, monotonous list has actually been made exciting.

Pleasure through Pain & Submission

31 pages of first-hand reports and excerpts from non-fiction books. This is the bit I was after. As a more natural sub who switches, I needed some inspiration. This has exciting, insightful and inspirational accounts – some of which I'm looking forward to replicating at home.
