    1. What's not to love

Reviewed: 27 January 2016 by BarginHunta, a Straight Married Male

Written from a female point of view:

From the moment that you start to unpack this vibrator it just exudes quality.

Once you are past the usual discreet shipment packaging (courtesy of Lovehoney), the retail packaging is a sturdy lidded cardboard box wrapped in an outer cardboard sleeve. The sleeve has a simple image of the toy on the front along with the SVAKOM name, and various information across the other sides of it. It is tasteful with no images other than of the toy, but not discreet - you certainly know what is inside!

However, that all changes once you remove the sleeve to reveal the inner box. It is mainly plain white box, with just a classy silver wave pattern across it and the company name for decoration. This is a box that you could quite easily leave out and about without anyone raising an eyebrow, unless of course they too have indulged in the Svakom range!

Taking the lid off of the box reveals Alice snuggled comfortably in a shaped foam lining, again with a white card frame. The layout incorporates a small white cardboard box inside the packaging which is where you will find the USB charging cable and the discrete grey drawstring bag should you wish to store Alice in something less cumbersome.

Easing Alice out of packaging you instantly feel the smooth seem free quality of the deep black silicone surface set off perfectly by the beautiful silver shine of the endcap.

The clitoral arm of Alice is firm, but giving, which is good - You are able to apply pressure with it, but it is not going to get in the way if you need to shift position slightly!

The instructions can be a little hard to understand to start with as even though the operation of the vibrator is quite complex I'm sure the instructions try to make it seem even more so!

There are three buttons, "up", "down", and "S".

"S" is held for about 2 seconds to turn Alice on, and back off again, and is also used to enter the SVAKOM mode (more on this in a minute!)

The UP button can be clicked once to increase vibration strength, or double clicked to move to the next pattern. Similarly the "down" button is used to decrease the vibration strength with a single click, or by double-clicking to move to the previous pattern.

It is probably worthy to note that although the two stimulators of Alice do have independent motors the speed of them cannot be controlled individually by the user. However, there is a decent range of patterns available which in themselves vary the amount of stimulus from each 'arm', so it is really not an issue.

The other function of the "S" button is to enter the SVAKOM mode, which is what makes this vibrator stand out from the crowd. Do you even get fed up of having to fiddle with the buttons to change speed or pattern during your playtime? Well, the SVAKOM mode is designed to do just that for you. Apparently it was designed using feedback from multiple participants to determine what sort of stimulation to apply, how strongly to apply it, and when. Regardless of how it was designed, I'm pleased to report it does seem to work! It does take some getting used to, and certainly the first time I used it I just found it annoying and reverted to manual control, but when you can let it get on with it it works well.

The vibrator is USB rechargeable, which is always a good thing. I charged it when I received it and have since used it for 3 sessions and haven't yet had to recharge it. So even if you decided to spend a long time with Alice I wouldn't think you'd need to worry about it running out.

The only downside I found to the charging is that, although it is USB rechargeable, the end of the cable that plugs into the toy is of a pin-socket type rather than a micro USB connector or similar. This means that you can't just use a standard phone / tablet charger to charge the toy, but rather need to either connect the cable to a PC (the non-toy end of the cable is standard USB) or invest in a mains USB adaptor. It would be 'nice' if the toy had included one, but I can understand why they don't when you consider global marketing and the probability of people already having suitable chargers. Unfortunately I didn't so had to borrow one! Perhaps Lovehoney could look at stocking these in the same way as it does batteries?

I can honestly say this is the best dual stimulation vibrator that I've used. I tend to favour clitoral stimulation but do sometimes feel like I want something inside too. Other rabbit vibrators and dildos can be quite cumbersome, and using two separate toys can be fiddly. Alice's vaginal stimulator is a perfect size to compliment the external vibrator, with the pair working together rather than distracting from one another.

The internal vibrator has a wide rounded end, narrowing as it approaches the join of the two arms. I found that this meant it was very comfortable to use, covering a broad area inside without me feeling stretched the whole time.

The external vibrator is a good size and shape and the rigidity of the arm means that it keeps good contact with you whilst still allowing you to find the best position for the internal stimulator. The only slight issue I found was that, because the clitoral vibrator has a rounded profile, it does tend to want to slide to one side or the other of your clitoris rather than sit directly on top of it. I found for me this did not matter as I prefer the approach slightly from one side, but it is worth bearing in mind.

The buttons are easily accessible and have enough texture to them to allow them to be located easily during use whilst still integrating into the smooth outline of the toy. I was also pleased to find out that, although the charging is via an uncapped pin-socket type connection on the base of the toy, the entire toy is still rated as IP67 waterproof, so you can use it almost wherever you fancy!

I have used this on my own, and also with my partner and it works equally well. The nice thing with the SVAKOM mode is that my partner doesn't need to worry whether I want more or less vibrations et cetera - he can just let it get on with it!
