Bondage Boutique 15 Inch Black Rubber Flogger

Being new to floggers, I wasn't really sure what type I should get.

I'm very happy that I've bought this one.

It can sting, but it also can be very delicate, depending on how it is used.

The handle is great, as is the texture. It's a very different thing from leather flogger, which can be really stingy for a beginner.

It wasn't long after I'd submitted my review for the red version of this flogger that Lovehoney stopped stocking that colour. But seeing as they still stock this black one and it's exactly identical barring the hue, I believe my opinion is still of value to those considering buying it.

This flogger is extremely well built. It is comprised of minimal components, which means there's less to go wrong with it. It appears that the fronds are doubled over onto themselves, the wrist loop is strung through the bend, then the whole thing is clamped into place by the sturdy plastic handle. Simple, stylish, effective.

The plastic of the handle is slick and shiny, but there's little cause to worry about slippage should things get sweaty. The bulbous, beaded design aids grip, as does the shoestring loop at the end. It is a good size for the hearty handed and those with diminutive digits alike, with space to spare at either end and a girth that won't require most folks to squeeze their fists too tight. Perfect for beginners, as advertised. And I should know - when I bought mine, I had never tried a flogger before.

Whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned veteran, a rubber flogger could give you the new sensation you're looking for. It's a step or two up from a rope flogger in terms of impact, but just as you shouldn't underestimate the rope, don't go thinking that this thing doesn't pack a punch. It's a subtle and versatile instrument; tune it to your unique techniques and make your subject sing!

The way the thin, flexible strands fly through the air make it capable of providing a variety of impacts, from sharp spanks to sweet, whistling stings. All it takes is control, and, believe me, it's much more intuitive than you might imagine.

In addition to being a hitty thing, the humble rubber flogger has a sensual side. The giddy little strings are all-too-ready to jiggle about and thus can be used as a great alternative (or addition) to feather tickling. The smoothness of the material and the way the fronds cascade mean it is great for stroking as well. For yet another element of sensation play, the rubber feels surprisingly cool to the touch... even more so on the hot, inflamed skin on your bottom after flogging!

The rubber noodles can get a tad tangled sometimes, but they are easy to tease out with your fingers. It's also easy to clean if you need to and doesn't seem to attract much dust. It is easy to store by hanging it up in your wardrobe by the loop. There was no packaging worth mentioning.

This is an excellent toy for anyone with a desire to achieve a more baboon-like bum. It has pride of place in my regular rotation, second only to my set of pinwheels and scratchers. Add to that the fact that it is travel-friendly and vegan-friendly to boot, and there's really no good reason not to get one! It will not disappoint.

I bought this a part of a bondage deal and so glad I did. Perfect for beginners, but has a nice sting for the more advanced players. I chose it because it looked gorgeous and I know the Bondage Boutique line to be of high quality.

It arrived quickly and discreetly in usual Lovehoney style. I've come to expect nothing less. One of the things I love about the BB line is the simple and classic packaging it comes in, just a simple plastic sleeve and the Bondage Boutique logo stuck on. Easy to dispose of with any awkward living arrangements.

On opening it I noticed both the look and feel were great, with the smooth handle and soft tassels. One problem is that it's easily tangled in storage, but just as easily straightened out. It feels great softly on the skin and trying it out on myself I felt the sharp bite as it was hit, a nice sting but soft enough for beginners.

I insisted that my BF tried it out with me as he was interested in exploring BDSM. As a previously vanilla he was comforted by the fact that it was, and I quote, 'easy to use'. Plus it was a great starter to make him feel at ease as he was worried about hurting me. It gives a perfect sting and makes any contact afterwards super sensitive, especially using any massage oil or lube.

Overall, a perfect soft flogger, would love to have something stronger, but it will always be a favourite. The style makes it that much more classy.
