Hold your partner's legs in a spread-eagle position to explore their most intimate areas with ease. It's great for play in a number of poses, and suitably restrains your lover to ensure you're in charge at all times. Use the quick-release clips at either end to connect your choice ankle cuffs for reliable leg restraint, and introduce the third, central D-ring for more advanced positioning with wrist restraint.

If you're brand new to spreader bar play, we recommend using Velcro-fastened cuffs to begin with. When you feel more confident, move onto buckle-fastened or even lockable cuffs for more extreme restraint.

    1. Good all round bar

Reviewed: 18 April 2016 by bullen19, a Straight Going Steady Male

Firstly, I can't fault how well this is made. It's sleek, slender, and easy to assemble.

The bar comes in 3 easy to fit together sections. The sections just click together with little push buttons.

The bar has a good wide lenghth to it and can be used for ankles or wrists. The attachments can take any cuffs they just clip on, although the attachements do shorten it by a few cms.

    2. Overall Rating:
      10 out of 10 stars
      Pros
Easy to use and good length.
      Cons
Attachments shorten it by a few cms.
      Bottom line
      Good all-round item.

    1. Fantastic addition to restraint play

Reviewed: 07 April 2015 by AsYouWish!, a Straight Married Male

As we become more and more adventurous with bondage I find myself increasingly excited about trying new things. This was no exception. I could not wait for the package to arrive, and I was wondering how it would be packaged as it is 30 inches long at its smallest. To my surprise a standard LH box arrived and I thought it must have been something else ordered by my OH. On opening the box I remembered that the bar can be separated into three parts and so it packs away very discretely.

The bar is black painted metal and has a D-ring in the centre and one at each end. The three sections slot into each other and are adjusted by pushing metal buttons which then are aligned with holes at three locations on each side. The mechanism works like an adjustable crutch that you would need if you broke your leg (if you have seen one of those). The bar is long and my OH and I wondered if it would be too long for our short legs, but once you are connected to it the extra distance from the end created by the connectors to the cuffs effectively shortens the spread. For this reason the length is very good.

Any cuffs would be compatible as they just clip to the D-rings. We used neoprene cuffs fastened with Velcro which attached with no problem. It was possible to use the bar in multiple positions - lying, legs spread on the bed; standing with legs spread and wrists attached to a strap connecting to the middle of the bar preventing arms from being raised; arms spread and the middle of the bar attached to a collar (like in the film The Secretary); and most exposed of all was kneeling with ankles spread and wrists cuffs attached directly to the middle of the bar.

This last position forced ones behind up in the air and spread it wide so you were totally open and exposed to your partner. This was a little unnerving but we both had a LOT of fun. I am sure we will be able to use this in many more ways and it is already becoming a regular part of our playing. The bar seems tough enough to tolerate quite a force but I am not sure if it would tolerate suspension play. This is not something I have experience with but would not think that this is strong enough.

If you have not tried a spreader bar, you should. It is a really great addition to restraint play. I think that this bar would cater to all but the most extreme tastes and is likely to last well.

    2. Overall Rating:
      9 out of 10 stars
      Pros
Feels really kinky to be so exposed!
      Cons
The length is actually effectively shortened by the connectors.
      Bottom line
Now a regular part of our play as makes exposed submission fantastically unavoidable!
