The packaging on this little tube is even more gorgeous than it is in the pictures - nothing beats a little moment of luxury when you're opening a new product. The tube lets you easily squeeze out a good amount and is both pretty and durable. Yet another cute tube that won't look out of place with my everyday cosmetics!

As usual when testing lubes/creams, I did a hand test prior to use 'down there' (I have super sensitive skin). I didn't notice any warming or tingling effect, but I didn't expect to as these gels tend to only work on the clit itself rather than regular skin. No skin reaction, that was good. No nasty smell, no stickiness. Gave an experimental blow. Wow!

That was an intense sensation. Nothing in the product descriptions I have read (Lovehoney's is not up at the time of review) implies it is an oral sex gel and it tastes outright nasty (chemicals anyone?), yet it has the warming when breathed on effect that many oral dedicated products seem to have. I know there is a cherry flavour, I would imagine that would combine perfect taste and sensation? With this unflavoured one, I would recommend JUST blowing (no licking!) on her clit; it really does feel amazing.

We then applied this following the directions of massaging it gently on the area. Not going to lie; the sensation was not that strong. It was nice, though, more of a very mild tickling than anything else. It took quite a lot of 'massaging in' to get a warming effect; hand massaging, to be exact, as toys did nothing. So this is definitely not an instant stimulation or toy session gel. But whether that is a bad thing or not is entirely subjective; a bit of extended, hands-on foreplay is never really a bad thing, especially as the fact that you're using this gel at all implies you want the focus to be somewhat on her! If you are looking to speed things up a little or make it more intense, I would refer you back to the suggestion of blowing. :)

Applying this gel prior to intercourse does indeed increase sensation in the clitoris, though admittedly not as strongly as other ones I have tried. Being the curious type, we decided to apply this to the head of the penis and see if it had any effect there. Predictably, it had none. But wow! As soon as he went inside and hit my G-spot, I went through the roof. Now THAT is an intense warming and tingling sensation! I was surprised that this supposed clitoral gel had a nice effect on the clit, no effect on a penis and a hugely intense effect on the G-spot. I think I may have falsely gleaned from the description that this is a clit-orientated gel!

All in all, I have my doubts about the way this product has been advertised. We got the strongest sensations through internal (G-spot) application and through blowing (implying a design for oral), despite this not being overtly advertised for use in either of those scenarios. It is a great product once you figure out how it works for you, and obviously your own experience could differ drastically from ours.

I would recommend this gel to people who prefer a milder stimulation on their clit, but who still want a good quality, non tacky gel. I don't believe this would do the trick for those women who need a little more stimulation, or who don't want to engage in a moderate foreplay session in order to activate the gel. I am hesitant to recommend this for its more sensational internal/oral use as this is not necessarily its intended use, but I cannot deny that it worked a treat!
