May the orgasm be with you
Reviewed: 03 July 2014 by pinkanimal, a Straight Married Female
I was rather nervous being asked to test this product, since my husband has never used toys like this before.
The Hand Solo comes in a plain white box with the purple Rocks Off logo on it. Smart-looking and no cheesy photos in sight.
You get a lovely black bag with the purple Rocks Off logo on it to store it in.
The part you hold is lovely and smooth. Fits comfortably into my little hand, leaving the thumb free to use the bullet.
The inside is filled with tiny little nodules, which look a little scary at first to novice users, but are completely soft and comfortable.
The bullet has 7 speeds:
* Low constant
* Medium constant
* High constant
* Moderate pulse
* Fast pulse
* Splutter rhythm
* Faster splutter rhythm
Please note, to turn off the bullet you have to push and hold the button.
So I lubed up my husband and got to work with it.
First thought was that it does get a little hard to hold on to when slippery and hard to push the button on the bullet when slippery.
Well considering my husband was a bit nervous and apprehensive about this toy, he certainly enjoyed it!
We ran through all of the speeds and found the slower versions of them he preferred, especially the pulse one.
For those like us that aren't experienced at using male toys, practice makes perfect.
He loved the feel of the little nodules inside it too.
I flattened it slightly and tried it against myself. It felt nice.
We also tried it across my nipples, which also felt nice. I took the bullet out and used it on myself, which was amazing. My favourite rhythms were the pulse and the splutter.
So our overall verdict on this toy is that it certainly surprised us in being a great little toy. I'm pretty sure it will be a regular in our bedroom whether we use it together or my husband uses it solo.
I know I will be using the bullet myself often too!
It's basically two toys in one, perfect for couples or singles. You have the toy for him, and the bullet which can be used for her too!
So if you are thinking about buying this, I would say buy it, and let the orgasm be with you.
- The softness and the 7 speed bullet.
- The fact it was hard to change the speeds when slippery.
- Bottom line
- Wonderful little toy that turns into two toys!

Didn't get my 'Rocks Off'
Reviewed: 02 August 2014 by DavidB1986, a Gay Married Male
With the various sleeves and masturbators I have, I'm always looking for something new and unusual - something that dares to be different. The Rocks Off 'Hand Solo' looked like it would fit the bill. I took the plunge, using my precious Oh! Points, and yesterday, it arrived.
Like most of the other toys in the ‘Rocks Off’ range, this arrives in very basic, nondescript packaging. There is a plain white outer-slip with purple writing, and then underneath that is the main packaging box, which is a simple black design with text.
The toy itself is nestled in a plastic tray, and underneath the tray is a manual and a storage bag. The toy comes with batteries included, so it’s ready to go straight out of the box.
The masturbator comprises of a soft silicone sleeve with a removable bullet vibrator (RO 80mm). The sleeve actually looks like a knuckle-duster, with a space for you to slip in your fingers to hold it. There are also finger grooves as well, to ensure comfort when holding.
The stimulating part of the sleeve is covered in lots of little silicone nubs, which initially feel quite hard to the touch. Generally it feels quite well made, and the bullet felt like it had a fair bit of power behind it, so I was genuinely optimistic that this was going to be something special.
How To Use:
I was told Lovehoney used to stock these a little while ago, but discontinued them. They have now been improved and are much better than before. Well, I have nothing to compare it against, but if this is indeed a ‘new and improved’ version, I would have hated to have seen how it was before.
After getting myself ‘ready’, I squeezed a little bit of lube into the stroker. This was the first problem. Because the nubs are so compact, the lube just kind of got ‘stuck’ in once place, and trying to spread it around was not easy. You basically have to squirt lube all over the sleeve, meaning you probably end up using more than you need to.
I placed my fingers through the grip and held it like I would a taco. I placed it on the underside of my penis and started the vibrations. I could barely feel them on the lowest setting. I switched it to the third and highest vibration setting. That was a little bit better.
I started to ‘stroke’ with it, and placed my thumb around, so I was gripping the shaft. After a few moments, I started to feel uncomfortable. I personally found the silicone nubs ‘too hard’. Whilst they felt okay on the shaft, around the sensitive tip of the penis, it actually felt painful.
I figured I wasn’t using enough lube, so I applied more and went again. Still the same issue. I switched hands, changed the way I was holding it. Nothing I did with it felt good. The silicone sleeve also dampened the vibrations quite significantly. Out of the sleeve, the bullet has a fair kick, but once it’s in the sleeve, the power drops about 50%. On the plus side though, as the bullet is removable, you can have plenty of fun with the bullet separately. But that kind of defeats the point of this.
Clean-up and Maintenance:
The Hand Solo is totally waterproof, so aside from having fun in the bath or shower, it makes clean-up a breeze. Plenty of water and toy cleaner will get it looking good as new, just ensure you really scrub the inside as lube and what not really gets stuck in between those little nubs. Let the silicone sleeve dry and then pop it in the storage bag until next time.
Well the good news is, I’ve made it to the end of the review and haven’t made a single star wars pun.
I really wanted to like this toy. It’s a good idea, it’s just poorly executed. The texture is just okay at best, and painful at worst. The sleeve also dampens the vibrations too much, which is a shame as the bullet is quite powerful.
It really does pain me to have to write such a negative review. I will say this, everyone is different, so whilst it may not work for me, it might work for you. Unless you give it a try, you won’t know.
All I know is, I really didn’t like this toy, and I wish I could leave it in a galaxy far, far away… Oh shoot…
- Well made, powerful bullet (out of the sleeve).
- Sleeve dampens vibrations, nub texture is just 'too much'.
- Bottom line
- I'd just as soon kiss a wookiee than use this again.
