    1. If Tim Burton made dildos

Reviewed: 05 November 2015 by Friday13, a Straight Single Female

Having tried and loved glass, ceramic seemed like a logical next step. When I saw this Tim Burton-esque creation was being discontinued and reduced to just £15, I knew I had to have it.

It came in a nice presentation box with a little flap on the front so you can see the dildo in all its glory without having to open the box. If you've got a lover of all things odd or a goth partner in your life then this would make an amazing present. It's great to use with a partner so it's a gift for the giver too.

At 9 inches long and 5.5 inches in circumference, it's a little larger than I am used to but the smooth ceramic makes it much easier to insert than silicone of similar girth and length (I find silicone drags). It feels similar to glass but less weighty due to the hollow centre, although it obviously becomes much heavier when filled with water.

The bulbous head, smooth ridges, length, and girth means it hits all the right spots, including my G-spot. It's my new favourite toy, both with partners and alone. My poor rabbit hasn't even been taken out of the toy box in weeks. While something like a rabbit can bring me to orgasm very quickly, I find orgasms from this dildo feel much more intense and last longer. It's the kind of toy that is perfect for a long session with multiple orgasms rather than a quick session to simply get off.

Even without the option of temperature play, I think it is a great dildo. Being able to fill it with water is just a bonus. Cold water feels really good but be careful when filling with hot water as what feels okay to your hand might not feel quite so okay on sensitive parts. When filling with water, you need to fill it right to the top or else it makes a sploshing sound which can be a little distracting. My only criticism is that the silicone plug is very difficult to remove, especially if you have long nails. My partners have been able to successfully remove it but even they found it difficult.

It's easy to wash with a little toy cleaner and warm water but be aware that it can get very slippy and, being ceramic, it will probably break if you drop it in the sink. Despite being ceramic, I don't really feel it is particularly fragile. I certainly have no worries about it breaking during use.

I wish I had discovered Ceramix sooner. The quality of the craftsmanship, combined with the quirky designs, make Ceramix the perfect dildos for me. I am really disappointed Lovehoney don't stock any other Ceramix dildos because I would definitely buy more, but I'm happy that I at least own this wonderful creature.

The design, bulbous head, ridges, size... everything!
The silicone plug is a difficult to remove.
      Bottom line
A beautiful creature that hits the spot every time.

    1. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice?

Reviewed: 20 April 2014 by Spoonerism, a Bisexual Engaged Female

From the first time I saw the Ceramix range on Lovehoney I knew I had to own one. I am a huge fan of temperature play, and that coupled with the fact I am a slightly obsessive Tim Burton fan made the No. 6 the obvious choice!

Similar to Pipedream's Icicles range, the Ceramix also come in beautiful, bold, informative packaging with a window displaying the toy nestled in its foam insert. As other reviews have stated, it does not include a storage bag so I'm storing my toy in a thick pair of socks for protection. As it's not glass, I imagine it could chip comparatively easily, which is not something I want to happen!

The toy itself looks great - it looks like it belongs in a Beetlejuice porn parody - I love it! One little niggle is that it is obviously hand-painted (I work in a pottery painting studio, so I notice these things), and the top stripe overlaps onto the 'head', which it doesn't on the product photos - a tiny purely cosmetic defect which doesn't *really* bother me that much.

The No. 6 is quite a lot bigger than what I usually go for in a toy. It is rather substantial in both girth and length - that coupled with the fact that the material has absolutely no give to it meant I wasn't sure I'd be able to take it at first. But with a little lube, some warming up and a little patience, it slid in no problem.

Like glass, the ceramic is so smooth that it just glides in and out with absolutely no 'drag'. The curved tip and fairly large girth are great for targeting the G-spot, and the slight ridges along the shaft are pleasantly noticeable.

I'd personally never be able to take it that far but, due to the flared base, this toy would be suitable for anal play.

Being able to fill the toy up with whatever temperature water you feel like is what makes this toy really unique for temperature play. I suggest making sure to fill it as full as you can, otherwise you may encounter some unusual sloshing noises when thrusting!

The water also adds some weight to it, which I found really satisfying. Both warm and cold water feel great, and the ceramic holds the temperature for quite a while.

Overall I think this toy is a really fun and unique. I'd never seen a ceramic toy that you can fill with water before, and I found that I really enjoyed that particular feature. It is a huge shame that Lovehoney have discontinued the product, but I hope they stock something similar in the future - I would buy it!

      Looks great, feels great.
Slight imperfection in the paint work.
      Bottom line
Really fun and unique toy - glad I bought it.

    1. Take me to wonderland

Reviewed: 02 January 2014 by LilMissMardyBum

When I first saw the Ceramix range on the Pipedream website, I was filled with such excitement.

I have always been one for collecting different things that are weird and wonderful or somewhat unusual. So when I saw that these were added to Lovehoney I couldn't wait to get my hands on one.

I am huge fan of this range. Something that really appeals to me is that they are fun, quirky, unusual and pleasing to the eye, unlike any other sex toys I have seen. There is something about this range that draws you in to it. The shapes and colours are somewhat whimsical. They remind me of Alice in Wonderland. I could just imagine Alice gracefully ambling through a Ceramix wonderland.

When the Ceramix arrives, it comes in a lovely presentation box. The box is beautifully detailed. It's bright and bold and tells you everything you need to know about the toy of choice. Another added detail, the box comes with a nice flap so that you can open it too see the dildo.

I really can't fault the packaging, they have really thought about the overall presentation.

But me being picky, I would have liked a storage bag. I think it would have added that special touch. Also I feel due to the delicate nature of the Ceramix, it would be safer to have a bag to store it in when it's not being used. Although this isn't a huge issue as the box provides safe storage, with its foam inlay.

So why choose Ceramix No. 6?

If you enjoy temperature play then this is the dildo for you.

I love temperature play. I have quite a few glass toys and I really enjoy the options you have with glass toys. But sometimes it's not always easy to warm these up quickly, or cool them. Well this is where the Ceramix saves the day. They have solved the problem. All you have to do, to warm or cool the dildo, is take the plug out from the bottom, and add either cold tap water or warm tap water.

I would not advise you heat the dildo up using kettle water. The dildo will warm enough with tap water. If you wanted an extra cold feel you could try adding crushed ice into the dildo. Or if you're willing to wait, you can chill the dildo in the fridge for some extra cold pleasure. I found that this kept the dildo cooler for longer, although you do get about 20 minutes of play with either the warm or cold tap water. The Ceramix does keep its temperature for a while just like a mug of coffee or tea does.

So once you have removed the plug and added the water you are good to go. I only had to use a little lube with the dildo due to its sleek and smooth material. A little goes a long way also because it is ceramic you can use any lube with the dildo.

Using the no 6 really is enjoyable. The ridges added extra pleasure. The size is quite generous in both girth and length, giving you 8 inches insertable length, and circumference 5.5 inches.

So for those not use to dildos of this size, I would recommend a warm up before using until you get used to the size. It does give a nice fullness feeling once you are used to it.

The swollen head of the No 6. found my G spot with ease and the ribs down the shaft added a bit of subtle texture that I mainly felt at my vaginal opening. When I was thrusting the dildo, it delivers intense G-spot stimulation which was very enjoyable. I like to team this up with a bullet to add clitoral stimulation. I have had one of the best orgasms using the no 6 and I'm looking forward to trying more of the collection. They sure add a whole new dimension to temperature play and also make playtime fun.with their bright bold colours and shapes.

The beauty of ceramic is it's a non-porous body safe and phthalates free material, so can be cleaned using antibacterial soap and warm water, or toy cleaner after cleaning and leave to air dry.

To sum it up, the dildo is easy to heat and cool, gives amazing intense orgasms and G-spot stimulation. It's easy to clean, but I do feel one thing to make note of is that the dildo is a lot more delicate than one made of solid glass. I’m not saying that it will break during use, but just handle with care when cleaning and storing. Make sure you inspect it for any cracks or chips before use to be on the safe side.

Heats and cools down quickly, fun and funky, looking, gives intense G-spot pleasure.
A storage bag would be handy, the dildo is a little bit delicate.
      Bottom line
The Ceramix is great for temperature play heats and cools quickly.
