A spurt above the rest
Reviewed: 28 May 2014 by Mrklister, a Straight Engaged Male
The Nexus douche is nicely packaged and well made.
The volume is such that a few (2) squirts will clean the lower areas. However, it is possible to repeat for as many as you can hold to ensure a thorough clean.
Being squeezey, you can make the water spurt quite far and reach some deep places.
- Well made and easy to clean.
- Could be a little bigger in terms of volume of liquid.
- Bottom line
- Perfect. No intimidation compared to a 4 quart enema bag!

A must-have product for anal play
Reviewed: 04 March 2014 by JessyBunny89, a Bisexual Going Steady Female
From previous experience, douching has been an essential yet still quite unpleasant activity. It can be messy, uncomfortable, awkward. It is, however, best to get it out of the way before starting anal play and douching is by far the most trusted way. Trying to find a douche that not only looks good but appears easy to use and fairly comfortable is quite a tough job.
I was dubious about this product because it looked great, and was a fantastic price, but only had two reviews. Still, I gave it a go.
The box is neat, as is the douche, with clear instructions included. It is larger than my last one, but nothing too intimidating, just a little more bulbous.
Firstly, you don't need to take it apart to fill it up with water; it works by submersing it in water and just squeezing it, drawing the water in to the bulb. This also really helps with minimising any excess air. Also being able to submerge it in water enables you to get an ideal water temperature, as warm water is the best for douching.
The fitting around the nozzle is very secure, and the nozzlw itself is thin and blunt so no unpleasant stabbing pains to be expected.
The bulb itself is firm, and the material is reassuringly strong. It is very easy to clean afterwards also.
In terms of the douching itself, it only took one and a bit squeezes to get the job done, and I felt no pain or cramping afterwards as I have experienced from other douches.
Overall, a really great product which should have many more excellent reviews.
- Everything! The look, the feel, the ease of use, and knowing it will last!
- Nothing, it is a must-have product!
- Bottom line
- This is an anal sex essential and I am so very glad I bought this.

Full marks for Nexus

Let’s face it, what are the top reasons both men and women don’t want to dabble with their own or someone else’s back door? Number one, it’s going to hurt and number two (excuse the pun), 'mess'.
First I’ll start by saying anal sex can hurt when it’s rushed or there is lack of lubricant or if doing it is just not your cup of tea. A slow build-up, trust and lots and lots of lube are the foundations of great anal sex, and it can be incredibly pleasurable for men and women alike! Take it slow, talk to your partner about your concerns and work up one butt plug at a time.
Secondly, cleanliness. It’s a valid concern. No one wants to poop on their partner. A douche is a great way of boosting pre-anal confidence and removing any anxiety you might have on embarking on an anal adventure with your OH. I’d highly recommend the Nexus as a starting point!
In typical LH style this was sent quickly and in plain brown, discreet packaging, which is really important when you’re living in a shared house.
Nexus sex toys are associated with quality, luxury and style. The packaging and the douche itself fit the bill. The douche comes in a simple black and white designed box with a little leaflet containing simple instructions for use.
It’s super easy to use.
I started by cleaning the bulb and nozzle with a sex toy cleaner and warm water. At this point with other brands there can be a horrible rubbery smell when immersed in the water, but not with the Nexus. The material is good quality and cleans very easily.
Next I filled up the bulb up with lukewarm water by running it under the tap, however you can do this by squeezing the bulb whilst immersed to allow the suction effect to draw the water in.
Pop the nozzle back on and you’re ready to go.
The nozzle is easily inserted with a little lube. (Lovehoney own brand anal lube or Maximus are both strongly recommended).
Squeeze the bulb gently to avoid a fast flow of water, which if too cold could cause (surprisingly uncomfortable) cramps.
Although some prefer to do this in the shower, I would personally advise doing this whilst sitting on the toilet. As the water starts to fill you, you will feel an urgency to go to the toilet. In my experience this position is much more comfortable and hygienic.
I use this 30 minutes to an hour before anal play and feel totally at ease with my OH.
I’d highly recommend this product! Enjoy!
- Appearance, quality and such good value for this brand.
- Bottom line
- Great investment! Recommended especially for beginners.
