Itty Bitty Buzzy

I've mostly sworn off battery operated vibes in favour of rechargeables, but this one was just so dinky and wee I couldn't resist! Most vibes this tiny are attached to unwieldy controllers, which always struck me as kind of defeating the purpose. Plus, it's from a new, rather interesting looking company (who happen to do lots of lovely rechargeable vibes), and seemed liked a decent way of checking build quality from them.
The box is a little larger than a pack of cards, and is pink and black, a fairly clichéd colour combination for the contents, but it's done in a simple way that doesn't look cheap or dated.
When you open the box, you realise it's only that size to fit the 'manual' (a single sheet of paper with some details) and the warranty card. You could easily fit the vibe and the spare batteries into something the size of a lipstick tube with room to spare. It is, without a doubt, the tiniest vibrator I've ever seen. I knew it was going to be small, but seeing it in person, nestled in a mostly empty plastic tray, is something else. At only 1.5" total length, including the little switch at the top, it's around the size of an N battery (the ones that power RO-80 Bullets). Despite it's diminutive size, it has a reassuring weight to it, thanks to the metal casing.
I like that the brand name and logo are engraved into the side, rather than painted on or left off completely. Everything about it feels quite solid and built to last. Looks-wise, it makes me think of something you'd find in a mechanic's workbox, or maybe a miniature replica of some kind of naval weaponry (it just has that look of exploding on impact). It definitely doesn't scream vibrator, and is so small you could hide it in even the tiniest of clutch purses. Alternatively, you can easily wear it around your neck using the supplied cord and it'll hide under your clothes (or dangle there for everyone to see and ponder upon, for the braver amongst us). I can't help but notice that it's also incredibly unintimidating to behold, so could be a great choice to introduce a nervous other half to toys.
To remove or replace the batteries, you simply twist off the top black section and pop them out. Absolutely everything comes apart, which as a nerd, I love -- as a bit of a clutz, not so much. It's very cool opening it up and sliding the teeny motor out for a closer inspection (it's 15mm x 6mm, for those curious), and even cooler learning that, when open, if you hold it the right way, it vibrates away happily, using you to close the circuit (even with only one battery). It's less cool when the little black bit hidden in the top comes flying out when you go to put it back together and you're left scrabbling around trying to find it in your bedsheets or under the bed (and when you finally do find it trying desperately to get it to fit back in properly so it'll actually function again). I'd recommend opening it switch side down and being delicate with it.
It's quite fiddly to turn on - I find it's easiest to hold the switch and turn the vibe, or use the string to turn the little knob. I'm not entirely sure why it couldn't have been a click-push type button, it would have been so much simpler. I found the strength quite surprising after reading the first review; it's strong enough to make my hand go a bit tingly after just a few moments. It is very quiet, although can sometimes rattle slightly adding a fair bit of volume (still nothing anyone outside of your room will hear, though). The advertised 30minutes of battery power is a little disappointing, and makes me glad it comes with a spare set of batteries (especially as LR41s aren't the easiest to come by). I've not been timing my usage, but it's still going strong on the first set after I've had a good mess around with it, so I think 30mins might be a conservative estimate.
Despite its size, it's not the easiest thing to get any kind of pinpoint precision with. It's partly the rounded shape and partly that as soon as you introduce it to a slippery zone, it will likely jump out of your fingers any opportunity it gets (no matter how well you wrap that cord round your hand), and occasionally twist around in such a way it pulls the string to turn it off.
As for orgasms, well... Once you manage to get it under control, it does get the job done, although they're not very satisfying. It's the higher pitched vibrations, they just don't do it for me. Whilst this manages to be deeper than one would expect at its size, it's still just a little too fizzy for my tastes (I *definitely* favour very deep vibes, however, so this might be less of a deal breaker for some). Honestly, I usually find myself reaching for something else over this. However, it is quite nice as a foreplay toy; it's very pleasant on various erogenous zones. It being so small is certainly an advantage for this, it means (for example) that it can nestle happily in the palm, buzzing away at nipples whilst the hand caresses and squeezes the breast.
Since it is so small, and completely waterproof, it does allow for some more creative uses than a lot of vibes. It's easily slipped inside the gusset of various styles of knickers (I find it works best in g-strings, the open fronted gussets on some of those make a brilliant little pocket), which makes for great grinding fun, and it's almost certainly quiet enough that you could probably nip to the shops or slip it on at a date and have no one the wiser (unless you want to let them in on the secret, of course). The possibility of using it to turn other things into vibes keeps running through my mind -- I imagine it'd work great squashed into a banana or a cucumber for those who like a bit of food play, or perhaps pushed into a sponge or massage bar for pampering caresses. I also keep wondering if it could maybe be used to create an ice vibe or if the cold and pressure would kill it (probably not worth the risk, but it does intrigue me).
Now, in regards to cleaning and hygiene, I'm not a great fan of anything involving string becoming friends with my lady parts. I'm quite a mysophobe, and the thought of various bacteria creeping into something and clinging on then getting to repeatedly party in my pants quite frankly squicks me out. However, much to my chagrin, if you try to use this little guy in the usual hold-against-clit fashion without the cord to corral it, you'll most likely lose it at a very inopportune time. So, that's a bit of a bummer. As for the rest of it, cleaning is a breeze, as it's completely submersible, non-porous, and doesn't really have any nooks and crannies for anything to linger in.
It's difficult to say how much I like this. It's not what I expected, I'll say that much. For me, bullets are generally a quick, simple tool for clitoral stimulation, and due to a couple of personal issues (hygiene concerns, high pitched vibrations, awkwardness of hold) the Nalone Mini just isn't that for me. However, it can be great fun if you think outside the box and get a bit more creative, and, to be honest, I just can't bring myself to dislike something this adorable and tiny -- I think for the amount of space it takes up, it gives a lot of fun and possibilities. Yes, it's a disappointing clit vibe, but as a minute bedroom buddy, it's a very cute, welcome addition to the toy box.
- It's cute, versatile, and well made.
- High pitched vibrations, difficult to control, not a fan of cord in sex toys.
- Bottom line
- Not great as a clit vibe, but quite a lot of fun for foreplay.

It may be small but

I was lucky enough to receive the Nalone Powerful Mini Bullet Vibrator as a tester. It was beautifully packaged in the usual brown box, with a Lovehoney box inside. On opening, found the little black and pink box that the vibrator comes in, nestled in amongst the tissue paper.
Opened the box to find the smallest vibrator that I've come across. It already had 2 batteries inserted and you get another 2 spare. Easy to follow instructions are also included. The cord unfortunately fell out and I found it too fiddly to try and attach it again, so has got lost. The vibrator I keep in my bedside drawer, being so small I could easily misplace it.
It is easy to turn on and off, where the cord attached is the on/off switch, you just twist it round. It only has one speed, but I found that reasonably powerful and also very quiet. I did like the cool feel of the metal.
Have used it one my own mostly and with my boyfriend and it did bring me to orgasm, but it did take a little while to get there. It is a little bit fiddly to hold being so small but I certainly enjoyed using it and will use it again.
- It's quiet, cool to touch, compact and feels nice.
- Couldn't get the cord attached to the on/off switch and have lost it.
- Bottom line
- More of a novelty product.

I received this mini bullet vibrator as a gift and couldn't wait to try it out after lusting over the Nalone range ever since it was added to Lovehoney.
Taking it out of the cute box (which is pretty much essential for storing this), the first thing I noticed was really just how small this thing is! I know it tells you it's 1.75 inches and everybody thinks they can guesstimate how big that is but seriously; get a ruler out and take a look!
It's a bit fiddly to turn on. You have to twist the loop the attached string goes through.
I thought I'd have a solo go with this first to check it out, considering its size the vibrations are pretty impressive, however if you're really into strong vibrations then this isn't going to cut it for you. This toy got me really turned on really quickly, however it just seemed to get me close to orgasm and then that was it, it couldn't quite push me over the edge which was such a shame as its super small size and almost inaudible vibrations meant it would have been so discreet to take out in a bag etc.
Not wanting to give up on Nalone though, I gave it another go with my partner during sex. As its so tiny it was really easy to hold on my clitoris without it or my hand getting in the way and I orgasmed much quicker than I would have without it. It is quite tricky to keep hold of when wet though!
I would recommend this to use on your clitoris during sex but unfortunately it didn't cut it for me on its own.
- Great to use during sex
- Not powerful enough for me to orgasm from it alone
- Bottom line
- Ideal for clitoral stimulation during sex
