Another great book from Tracey Cox.

Her latest book is a great insight to why we fantasise, what we dare to dream in our heads before acting it out in reality, what effect it has, and does fantasy really become reality?

This book has 30 short stories, my favourite being 'I've been having a hot affair for five years'.

Each story is written in 3 parts: ehe Fantasy, what we imagine it would be like to experience, is usually the perfect scenario; the Decision - where the story switches from fantasy to realit,y why the woman decided to act out the fantasy. and Reality, what actually happens.

What is different from all the other the erotic books out there since 50 Shades of Grey hit the bookshelves, this gives you a true insight of what real woman have experienced in real life but with the added fantasy if you like to live in the dream world too.

This book can be split in two levels of reading. You can have the naughty read by just reading the fantasy or you can have a little giggle be amused and also entertain by the decision and reality parts too.

Since 50 Shades people have been looking to explore their sexual desires and I have seen this alot on LH forum. 'How do you go about introducing your partner in to x y or z ?' has been a question that has been raised a lot and yet again Tracey Cox has provided a chapter or two to give you guidance on how to go about this with handy hints and tips in 'Head to bed: Fancy making your dream come true'. This is really handy for couples who don't know how to approach or bring up this subject that you would like to explore more in the bedroom.

This book could easily be read by both men and woman, to give an insight of what reality is really like and also it may help the men understand the fantasies us woman have.

Nice added touch in the book is Tracey Cox thanks Richard Longhurst and Neal Slateford who work at LH who produce her product range.

Tracey Cox's new book is about fantasies - why we have them, who's most likely to have the schoolgirl fantasy and what happens when these fantasies leave the privacy of our own minds. The book is 293 pages long and the size of a modest paperback. It has a pretty decent front cover and unless someone knew who Tracey Cox was, they wouldn't suspect the book to be erotic. There are three sections to every story - the fantasy, the decision and the reality.

The Fantasy - This is where the woman (and it's always the woman, there are no male fantasies in here. It would be nice to have a male version of the book soon, Tracey!) describes her fantasy. It might be seducing a young man, or having a threesome, but the fantasy sections explore several themes and they are always stylised - I imagine them like anime cartoons where the woman is in control and always orgasms first. There is normally a lot of foreplay and it's all very romanticised. Each fantasy is obviously fictional and probably not as long as some people would like, but you can't please everyone.

The Decision - This part will tell you about her decision to put her fantasy into reality, a bit on her background and why she has decided to move from "Head to Bed". The Decision helps us gain an insight into the real woman's mind who decided to do this - and they are women like us, with normal, everyday jobs. This section helps you get some perspective on the individual.

The Reality - This section is good for a laugh, I had a few giggles but there were a few awkward moments when I wasn't sure what to think. Sure, these are real women who have had these experiences but what do you think when your husband stops in the middle of oral sex to ask if you want a glass of wine? There are a few "oops" moments and a few soul-crushing ones too.

The problem I'm having with this book is that I've always viewed Tracey as a sexpert rather than an erotic novelist. The stories just aren't long enough and don't have a good amount of detail to keep the stories erotic. Tracey seems like she is sharing experiences around afternoon tea rather than a drunken party. This book is not an erotic novel, it's more information that we already have from Supersex, SuperHotSex and Sextasy. It tries to help women into convincing their partners into trying new things they normally wouldn't by sharing other women's experiences in novel form.

To get to the point, I'll say this in the nicest albeit bluntest way possible - this is an educational book for women to normalise fantasies and strengthen relationships. It is not an erotic novella, it is an informative read much like Tracey's other books. I don't think I once got aroused. Saying that though, it has sparked ideas for many of my own fantasies. I do like the idea of some of the fantasies in this book and it was a very good read, especially the psychological explanations at the end, but I think most men won't want to read this - it is generally aimed at women and the majority of readers will be women. Sad fact is, this isn't sexually gripping for me and I saw it more as a textbook of information than an orgasm-inducing set of stories.

On the plus side, I did like most of the stories although Tracey does focus on the more acceptable side of sex. Strap-ons, threesomes and anal sex are some of the topics covered but there is nothing on domination, pet play, transexuals or watersports despite these being common fantasies nowadays. I would like to see a wider range of fantasies next time, more for men! I did enjoy this book, just not in the way I thought I would. Inspiring, but not sexy reading. Sorry Tracey.
