    1. Realistic Stories Galore!

Reviewed: 08 September 2014 by Little Lady, a Straight Going Steady Female

I've never bought an erotic book before, although I have read erotic stories online before. So when LH sent me this to review I was rather excited, and I won't lie, I thought it would take me agggges to review this as I'm such a slow reader! However it didn't take me that long at all to read, which I was glad about.

This book is really good and I was surprised about the layout of the book and how real the stories were, all written by real people (mostly women).

Each story/chapter of this book is set out as the fantasy, the decision and the reality, and I won't lie, half the time the reality never lives up to the fantasy, which in my opinion is good, as let's face it, when our fantasies are acted out they're never as we expect and certainly don't work out the way we imagine nine times out of ten.

I loved how the stories in this book were all written out by normal people just like me and you, which makes it that little bit more real, instead of just some fantasy stories made up by a writer.

What was really good about this book is that I could sit and read it aloud with my OH and it did give us a few ideas of some fantasies we can re-enact and even got us talking about some sexual fantasies that we both have and would like to try out.

It has made me want to buy another erotic book in the future to read with my OH, as like I mentioned, it was enjoyable and something different!

I would definitely recommend this book to any individuals, or couples who are new to reading erotica and fancy giving it a go!

    1. Truth v Dare

Reviewed: 12 June 2013 by KinkyFuckery, a Straight Going Steady Female

Another great book from Tracey Cox.

Her latest book is a great insight to why we fantasise, what we dare to dream in our heads before acting it out in reality, what effect it has, and does fantasy really become reality?

This book has 30 short stories, my favourite being 'I've been having a hot affair for five years'.

Each story is written in 3 parts: ehe Fantasy, what we imagine it would be like to experience, is usually the perfect scenario; the Decision - where the story switches from fantasy to realit,y why the woman decided to act out the fantasy. and Reality, what actually happens.

What is different from all the other the erotic books out there since 50 Shades of Grey hit the bookshelves, this gives you a true insight of what real woman have experienced in real life but with the added fantasy if you like to live in the dream world too.

This book can be split in two levels of reading. You can have the naughty read by just reading the fantasy or you can have a little giggle be amused and also entertain by the decision and reality parts too.

Since 50 Shades people have been looking to explore their sexual desires and I have seen this alot on LH forum. 'How do you go about introducing your partner in to x y or z ?' has been a question that has been raised a lot and yet again Tracey Cox has provided a chapter or two to give you guidance on how to go about this with handy hints and tips in 'Head to bed: Fancy making your dream come true'. This is really handy for couples who don't know how to approach or bring up this subject that you would like to explore more in the bedroom.

This book could easily be read by both men and woman, to give an insight of what reality is really like and also it may help the men understand the fantasies us woman have.

Nice added touch in the book is Tracey Cox thanks Richard Longhurst and Neal Slateford who work at LH who produce her product range.

    1. What happens when fantasies come true?

Reviewed: 18 September 2014 by capricorn13, a Straight Married Female

In this book, bestselling author and sexpert Tracey Cox compiles the erotic fantasies of 30 real women and tells us what happened when they dared to turn their fantasy into reality.

The self contained stories range in length from just 4 pages to 16 pages but typically they are about 10 pages long; this makes the book perfect to pick up and put down when you have limited time. However, while the cover picture is tasteful the text makes it clear what the book contains so you may not want to read it on the bus to work. I read it while on holiday.

Each story is written in three parts: The Fantasy - the idealised scenario; The Decision - when the woman decides to act out the fantasy and The Reality - what actually happened.

Some of the fantasies are very detailed and quite “hot” while others are slightly more pedestrian. The decision section is generally the shortest, sometimes just a couple of paragraphs, and in some cases gives us an insight into why the particular woman decided to act out her dream while in others it tells us how she went about setting it up. A few of the reality stories are quite humorous, some poignant and some are just plain disastrous; few live up to the fantasy for either the protagonist or the reader.

Did I enjoy the book? Some of the individual fantasies just didn’t do anything for me and as erotica and I found the woman’s attitude in one of the realities rather distasteful, but there was plenty to hold my attention. I certainly found it interesting, especially the introduction and the final chapters, “Head to Bed” and “What does your fantasy say about you?”

I think the real weakness of this book is it is not totally sure of its target audience; is it a “raunchy read” or a more intellectual social study? On balance, I might have preferred the latter as there are better written, more entertaining erotic stories out there.

Although far from a representative cross section of society, I have to admire these women; they were first of all brave enough to reveal their secret desires, second take steps to make them real and third accept the consequences.

However, having read this book my fantasies will remain just that: an idealised version of me - younger, thinner, more athletic, more outgoing and more adventurous - playing out erotic scenarios in my head.

The variety of stories. That the stories were real.
      Cons

Not always erotic and not fiction, more thought provoking and interesting.
