This Cadet Passes My Proficiency Test.

The Pleasure Works Cadet dildo measures 4.75 inches around the shaft. The head/coronal ridge area measures roughly 4.75 inches in circumference, which can seem a bit misleading, because the corona is very prominent and raised from the surface, but alas, the entire girth never exceeds roughly 4.75 inches throughout the length of the dildo. (It does get ever so slightly more ‘girthy’ as you move further down the shaft) Speaking of length, the Cadet Dildo measures 7 inches in useable length (8 inches total length, including the base) which means that the cadet is a medium sized dildo, slightly larger in length than the average guy, but with a reasonably average girth. It is therefore, not too intimidating.
The Cadet is made from a reasonably flexible, somewhat squishy, silicone material and this dildo can be stretched, bent and squished under the pads of my fingers with reasonably ease. I compared the Cadet to my Tantus Adam dildo (which is made from dual density silicone and designed to be a little more squishy) and found that the Cadet is actually more pliable that the Adam. This is perfect for me. I like my dildos to be on the softer side, because they tend to bend, flex and squish during use, conforming to the shape of my body. Squishier dildos will often not cause grating sensations behind your pubic bone, or prodding, poking sensations associated with rigid toys. Don’t be fooled though, the Cadet is still plenty firm enough to use for anal penetration and strap on play. It holds its form and is not soft enough to flop.
The Cadet Dildo does have some subtle texture that aim to give it a more realistic appearance. There are some raised veins on the front of the shaft (the back is completely smooth) and the glans has some fine lines scored into it. Surprisingly, the most noticeable texture felt during use, is the fine lines cut into the glans. It gives the head of the Cadet a rougher feeling, which can be nice, brushing against the G-spot/P-spot but can also feel abrasive if you do not use enough lubricant, or are not warmed up and ready. The veins could barely be felt vaginally or anally, so the shaft feels quite smooth and gentle.
The most noticeable “texture” of all though, is the raised coronal ridge. Compared to most other dildos in my collection, the Cadets coronal ridge is quite pronounced and it does cause a noticeable popping sensation as it either slides past my pubic bone (vaginally) or slides past the sphincter muscles (anally). For the most part, this ridge is enjoyable and comfortable (again, thanks to the flexible, slightly squishy silicone) but there were occasions where I just found this popping sensation to be a little too much. Usually this was at the start of my session, before I had properly warmed up. Once my arousal was higher, the ridge felt more enjoyable to take.
Our experiences left us concluding that the Cadet works best as a penetration dildo. That one toy you would reach for when you want to feel something sliding in and out of you. It did stimulate the G-spot and P-spot, thanks to its slightly curved shaft, but it wasn’t the most intense G-spotting/P-spotting toy, firstly because you cannot apply much pressure to your hot spots, due to the shaft being slightly too flexible (medium pressure can be achieved, but if you like it really firm, this dildo may be a little too flexible for you). Secondly, the shaft doesn’t quite curve enough.
Some dildos, with more curved shafts, will find and pleasure your G-spot as soon as it slides into your body, but the Cadet needs to be angled manually for it to find your G-spot with any degree of intensity. Lastly, if you require fast, hard, intense jiggling against your hot spots, to push you to orgasm, you may find that the slightly abrasive head, raised coronal shaft and draggy silicone, cause a little discomfort quite quickly. (This was too much for me, because I have a sensitive vulva, but some of you may actually enjoy this added friction, as it tends to almost “grab on” to your G-spot and shake it to orgasm.) Overall, we enjoyed it most for standard in-out penetration.
The Cadet is suitable and safe to use for both vaginal and anal penetration, thanks to its flared base. It has also been designed to be suitable for use in strap-on harnesses (if you are using an O-ring harness, you might find it helpful to know that the base of the shaft, where the O-ring would sit, measures 5.5 inches in circumference). I would recommend it to intermediate to advanced anal players (to anyone who is comfortable taking a penis of average girth, slightly longer length) and thanks to its design (being most suited to penetration) it would make a fantastic pegging dildo.
Cleaning and care is a doddle too. I would personally recommend sticking to water-based lubricants only (as silicone lubricant can potentially damage the silicone surface of the Cadet), you will need to use lubricant with the Cadet, as the silicone is matte and this causes a high amount of drag/friction during use. Simply use hot, soapy water to give it a good clean afterwards (paying close attention to the little grooves in the glans). Unfortunately, the Cadet does not come with a storage pouch and the silicone is a lint magnet, so I recommend picking up a satin pouch. Still, it will most likely need rinsed again before use, as pet hair, dust and lint will stick to it like crazy.
Overall, I really enjoyed the Cadet Dildo. It is very versatile (vaginal, anal, pegging, G-spot/P-spot play) looks good and feels great. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a softer feeling dildo that can still be used for all kinds of play. I would only avoid it, if you think that you may struggle with the popping sensations provided by the raised coronal ridge and are ideally looking for something very smooth and streamlined. Other than that, the Cadet is a great dildo.
