    1. Product Description

If you're looking for the ultimate CBT cock cage chastity device, you won't go far wrong with this little beauty. Inspired by the iron maiden, this cuff features adjustable screws that grip your member like a vice, preventing erection effectively.

Suitable for men of most sizes, this Mike's Spikes male chastity device measures 5.5 inches in circumference (1.75 inches in diameter) without the screws tightened. 28 individual screws measuring 0.8 inches long create a fully-customisable chastity cage that not only prevents sexual gratification, it also prevents erection.

By gripping the flaccid penis tightly with blunt-ended screws, the chastity ring uses pressure to cause pain during arousal, subsiding unwanted erections and keeping sexual desire firmly in check.

The cuff closes with a clasp that requires a padlock. A padlock is not supplied but our very own Bondage Boutique padlock is the perfect match.

For those in want of a more sadistic edge, a set of sharp spike screws are available separately to further enhance your chastity play.

    1. Tiny Torture Device

Reviewed: 30 January 2013 by Miss-Nomer, a Bisexual Going Steady Female

I must confess that when I first saw this my eyes lit up. The other half has been wanting a chastity device for a while, and, well, I'm a bit of a sadist (every time he'd look at the CB range I'd be rubbing my hands together thinking about the 'Points of Intrigue'). Really now, though, how can you not love how this thing looks? It's terrifying, like a tiny iron maiden. I just can't resist sexy things that look like implements of medieval torture. In essence, the device is rather like an adjustable, less evil Kali's Teeth Bracelet, particularly if you install the sharp spikes that you can purchase separately. It's not so much a chastity device as it is behaviour modification, since the sharp reminder when you become aroused can be quite the deterrent, unless you're a pain-junkie (in which case you can have a whole other world of fun with this).

It has no packaging, just arrived in a cute LoveHoney plastic baggie. It's always a little disappointing when something lacks a nice box, but at least you know all the money you've spent has gone into the thing you've actually bought. More of an issue is that it doesn't come with an allen key or a padlock, both of which are essential - obviously you need to be able to adjust the spike length, and even if you're just using this for self-inflicted CBT and have no intention of releasing yourself before you've had your fun, it will not stay shut without something holding it. Maybe at a push you could use your AK (you'll want a 3mm one). To be fair, chances are if you're kinky enough to be buying this, you've probably got a padlock or two kicking around, anyway, but it is a tad annoying. On the subject of padlocks, how slim the shackle is will determine exactly how tight the device sits, by a couple of mm - the slimmer the shackle, the looser the fit. In order for it to fit in the holes, you need it to be a maximum of 4mm thick.

In person, the device is a very beautiful, very serious looking bit of kit. It's got a lot of weight to it, being stainless steel. With all the blunt spikes installed, it weighs in at around 306grams. It fits nicely in the palm of my hand, and is pretty hard not to play about with - it's just so shiny and pretty! And delightfully wicked looking. The hinges are a bit squeaky, which I quite like - I feel noises are an important part of BDSM toys. If it annoyed you I'm sure a spot of oil would fix it up easily, although the gentle rattle of the spikes probably wouldn't go away. A couple of the spikes are a little stiff on mine, but most of them move in and out very smoothly. This is a blessing and a curse, as, whilst it makes it very simple to adjust, it always means that, if using for chastity, you have to screw the spikes in almost flush with the metal ring, otherwise you can unscrew them with just your fingers whilst it's worn.

With the screws tightened almost flush, the ring itself sits around 1mm open, as the spikes near the opening press against one another. This isn't really a problem (the way the padlock holes are aligned means it will always be gappy when fastened) but it does mean there's potential for catching flesh inbetween said spikes. We've removed one on either side (one from top right and bottom left) around the gap to remove that possibility, and it's had no negative effects on function. The central gap between the spikes, with them as out as can be before you can loosen them with fingers, is around 2cm diameter. You can screw them all the way through, so the minimum you can have the gap without them falling out is around 1cm.

In use (from the Top's point of view), it's a pretty big rush being able to punish or torture your sub without even touching them. Heck, you don't even have to be in the same room, so long as they can see you or hear you. If you know your partner well, just the right expression, or a single word, can result in some satisfying yelps. That audible feedback of arousal is very nice. I've had to use some serious self-restraint to hold back, I was having so much fun. It's like a voice activated, remote control pain device, that also responds to your body movements, the intensity in your eyes... It's a very powerful feeling. I must say, I rather enjoy playing a vengeful, seductive Goddess. I'd also imagine that if you're used to being more of a giver in the bedroom, and want to experiment with being more dominant, you could have a jolly old time with this guy - you can tease your man 'til he's in so much pain he's just begging for you to ignore him and let him pleasure you.

Aside from it being immense amounts of fun, I also love how customisable it is: you can change the lengths of the spikes, remove some, replace some or all with the pointy kind (available to purchase separately); it makes for a better fit and more interesting play. We generally mostly use the blunt spikes, because dear boyfriend is a bit of a wuss when it comes to pain and I'm not that cruel (...normally). The blunt ones alone have brought him pretty close to tears when I've been fairly relentless with the teasing, although he is developing a bit of a tolerance for it, so we're swapping in a sharp one here and there.

Sadly, there is a big problem with it: it travels. My partner is definitely not on the small side (not gigantic, but comfortably above average), and, with the spikes about as far in as they can go, it still slowly makes its way down and, given enough relaxation, simply falls off. This movement also consequently leads to chafing, to the point of blistering, if you're too persistent. Which is not exactly ideal, to put it mildly. Keep in mind that this is at a tightness that can practically induce tears when erect. It could really do with a support ring that goes around the testicles (as with some other designs) to try and prevent this - it's just so weighty it kind of needs it. I gather the hinge is also rather uncomfortable with prolonged wear, but I doubt this was designed with comfort in mind. The fact that it uses a 3mm AK (I believe the most common size?) to adjust the spikes is another issue. If you were actually planning on locking someone into this and letting them roam free in the world, there's not a whole lot stopping them from popping into anywhere that sells tools and promptly letting themselves out. I wish they had come up with a unique key for the spikes, or designed a cover for over them.

Quite frankly, as a long term chastity device, it's more than a little flawed. However, the problems with it in no way detract from how entertaining it can be for a play session: it's still damn fun to stick on someone for a few hours and have your wicked way with them, and the threat of this being wrapped round your privates can be a pretty good incentive to behave. Coupled with something a little more practical, I think it'd be a really nice way to spice up chastity play (especially for those of us who can find no-frills chastity just a little bit dry). We're certainly having a whole lot of fun with it.

Huge power trip. It's sturdy and beautiful. Customisable. Very different.
Slips off over time. Spikes are loosened with an easily found allen key.
      Bottom line
Great fun for sadists and masochists, amazing rush, but not so great for chastity.
