Seven Til Midnight Behind Closed Doors Lace Teddy

I was excited to find out that I had been chosen to review the Seven Til Midnight, Behind Closed Doors Lace Teddy for Lovehoney. Already having several pieces by Seven Til Midnight in my collection, I have found them to be one of the better lingerie brands for sale on sex toy sites. I own a long sleeve black lace teddy by them and love its cut and fit so I was eager to add this even racier addition to my lingerie collection.

Packaging:

The Behind Closed Doors Lace Teddy arrived in Seven Til Midnight's usual style of packaging, a box which shows the item being modelled on the front and back and even has a small clear panel at the back which gives you a peek at the lace material of the teddy. The sides of the box are pink panels with black polka-dots. The product description on the back of the packaging reads

'Paisley net lace teddy, plunging v-neck with lace trim, satin ribbon halter and back ties, side and back elastic binding, and snap crotch, One size, Red.' A very accurate description of the piece! Inside the packaging, the teddy is wrapped around a thin piece of white cardboard and held in place with five clear plastic clips.

First Impression:

Removing the teddy from its packaging and seeing it for the first time, I was pleased with its vivid red colouring and lace design. The lace material feels soft and almost silky to the touch and there is quite a bit of stretch to the material too. One thing I hadn’t realised from the product photos is that the halter tie is partly made of ribbon aswell as the back tie. The satin ribbon feels soft yet sturdy. Another thing I didn’t know about the piece until it arrived was that it conveniently has snaps on the crotch. The paisley lace looks even better in person than in the photos on site and the red is more vivid. I would describe it as scarlet red; the colour of this teddy really does scream of sex and sensuality.

In wear:

Trying the teddy on for the first time I was delighted with its fit. I’m a size 8 but with a 34D bust and found that it gave much more coverage than most lingerie pieces and could quite easily stretch to accommodate a larger bust than mine. The halter tie is surprisingly comfortable as the stretchy lace material reaches far enough that the ribbon is only present at the back of your neck. The halter cut both lifts and provides some support to the breasts and combines with the plunging v-neck to create an impressive show of cleavage!

The panty section fit my small hips quite well while still feeling like it could stretch to fit someone three or four sizes larger than myself. The cut of the panty is flattering and the snap crotch is a great addition, with the racy red colouring and sexy cut of this piece it’s definitely a must that it either be crotchless or offer some form of easy access. The back of the panty is in a thong style and its soft lacy material feels comfortable even in extended wear. I can imagine no problems sleeping in this piece.

The middle section of the teddy sits just slightly raised out from my body, extenuating my hips to show a shapely waist to hip curve. At 5" 4 and a size 8 I was worried that there might be excess material around the waist but I found this to be quite a good fit, and as with the bust and panty sections of the piece, I can easily imagine it stretching to accommodate someone several sizes larger than myself or someone considerably taller than myself. The amount of coverage around the waist seems like it would suit those who don’t feel too confident around the tummy area too as its monokini style manages to tempt and tease but without revealing all.

In Summary:

With the stretch and softness of the mesh lace material the Behind Closed Doors teddy is as comfortable as it is temptingly sexy.
