    1. A great read

Reviewed: 24 February 2013 by fizzy, a Straight Married Female

This was one of those books that once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down.

I found the book beautifully written with a romantic storyline about two main characters: Claire, who discovers that she would like to explore BDSM, and Evan, a book store owner, who has the experience to help Claire but holds himself back from helping her fully.

The book has well written sex scenes that evolve as Claire develops her sexual desire.

    1. Welcome to the World of BDSM

Reviewed: 09 March 2013 by protectyournuts, a Straight Married Male

Awakening is a light BDSM novel about a male dom recovering from a tragic loss of his wife and sub and a female who hasn't yet realised she is a natural sub.

The story follows the two as they develop an awkward relationship as he tries to teach her BDSM from a distance, while she secretly lusts after him.

The book has twists and turns and some deeply tense and erotic encounters along with some solo play from the point of view of both parties.

    1. Great book, when you get into it

Reviewed: 04 March 2013 by ToxicJenni, a Bisexual Going Steady Female

This book, I admit, when I first started reading it, took a few tries to get into. But I'm a bit fussy with books, I either love them when I start reading or I get into them later.

Anyway, I found this quite a short book, but that's a good thing when you're reading something saucy sometimes.

This is not a hardcore BDSM novel, so if you're looking for that this is really not for you. However this is a slightly more realistic adult book, about 2 people who have problems they're dealing with, and what life throws at them. Essentially, not a cover to cover rompfest.
